Trattoria dell'Omo (Marconi) — Restaurant in Rome

I have been there couple times. The food is actually good, but service is horrible. Last time I have been waiting for menu 35min, so I left finally hungry and furriies. The waiter served locals, Italians and definitely ignored me. I live here since one month and I think "service" in Rome is spoilt by tourists. They do not have to care so much, all in all Colosseum is still there and Forum Romanum is still there and you will go to Rome and you will pay no matter is the service quality you receive.... Esperienza confusa...trattoria semplice gestita da personale di famiglia, locale non troppo ampio e tavoli troppo attaccati. Forse non era il giorno giusto ma per quanto riguarda il servizio è stato pessimo. La trattoria offre un menù abbastanza variegato ma non offre i fritti come antipasto...peccato davvero! La nostra esperienza è stata strana...solo due persone che gestiscono la sala interna e i tavoli fuori. La qualità dei piatti devo dire molto buona e molto abbondanti con condimento giusto ed equilibrato. La velocità del servizio è stata pessima...sia l'attesa per portarci il menù che il tempo di attesa di quando si chiamava il personale per ordinare...non ti si filava proprio e andava da altri clienti nonostante numerose alzate di mano...camminavano a testa bassa...per non parlare che una volta preso ordine al tavolo accanto al nostro non si sono degnati di chiederci cosa volevamo...se nè andata senza ascoltarci...pessimo comportamento. Il durante del pranzo è andato tutto bene attese lunghe e ci stava per la clientela ma al momento della richiesta del dolce e caffè non si riusciva ad avere comunicazione con il personale...ci siamo alzati e abbiamo pagato per andarcene via subito dopo mezz'ora di attesa, quando ha capito che andavamo via è corsa per darci attenzioni e se volevamo dolce o un caffè...ormai eravamo troppo turbati dall'esperienza e siamo andati via al bar a finire il pranzo. Mi dispiace ma il servizio è pessimo...la qualità del cibo ottimo...ma non vanno d'accordo insieme se non c'è interesse a tenere e servire o ascoltare il cliente. Da rivedere molte cose! I walked into a nearly empty restaurant a few moments ago. Despite this, the waitress insisted on seating me at the least comfortable table in the middle of the room, claiming the rest were reserved. When I noticed the room was empty, that most tables didn't have reservations, and that I needed half an hour for a quick dinner, she shrugged and turned away. So much for the service. I can't comment on the food; I didn't get a chance to try it.

PS. I returned from dinner at another restaurant an hour later. The tables were...
