Where to begin, an Italian take on an American steakhouse, not something we were expecting. Cue confused face. But when you walk in or should I say out to the dining area and the first thing that you see is the fire, the grill, the spit or whatever it is the steak chef cooks his steaks on it's like wow, that's impressive. Either way it's a big fire with a large glass cabinet separating the dining area from the cooking area with steaks and joints of meat all prepared and ready for the grill. Once seated the waiter asks "pizza or steak?" And that determines the menu that you get. So on this occasion we asked for the steak and drinks menu. Having decided that we were going to have steak we ordered the Chianti Superior, to accompany our red meat. A really fruity bottle of wine 🍷. We then ordered our two steaks, a 700g Danese steak, and a 250g Danese fillet steak. Accompanied by sliced potatoes with their skins, seasonal vegetables and onion rings with spicy salsa sauce. Both steaks were good and rare (raro). Some of the cuts, like most steakhouse, are sold by the weight, so the price quoted is by the gram not the actual price. It's not a hard concept to grasp. Go to any decent steakhouse, even somewhere like Gauchos in London, and you'll pay by the cut and the weight. If in doubt ask and check. Plus you can have the steak cooked as you want it; blue, rare, medium or well done. I've been to France with a guy who doesn't travel very often and he turned his steak back because it was rare, how he ordered it. He felt it was going to poison him; sometimes ignorance isn't that rare 😄 and neither is stupidity. When our steaks arrived they were cooked just perfectly. How a chef can cook a steak so perfectly on what is essentially a roaring open fire who knows, but he did and they were. Cooked just right & exactly as we ordered them. Our meals were very nice, lightly seasoned. The surroundings were very good too. The tables were well spaced out, no one was sat right on top of the next table. We were sat in the large outdoor seating area, nicely lit. It was busy, very busy and it's clearly very very popular with couples and families alike which might explain why we had to wait over 30 minutes after our main course had been cleared for our waiter to return. We asked for deserts but somehow he interpreted that as to us wanting our bill, so rather than staying longer we paid up and left. Our meal was €96, a good price for what we had. A really nice steak, cooked just as we wanted accompanied by a nice yet inexpensive bottle of Chianti. Cue happy smilimg face. If you like steak then you'll enjoy an evening here. If you do make sure that you book, it's busy and it'll save disappointment.

Un piatto presentato proprio come piace a me, senza gourmet o cose varie tipo Masterchef: solo materia prima abbondante. Conviene sempre prenotare.

Caution AGGRESSIVE WAITER! Brown hair with beard. To start off we sat down and everything seemed fine, the restaurant looked nice and the menu looked appealing. That's where the good points end. After having to ask for menus and plates we ordered a beer and a coke, this took 15 minutes to appear. 2 minutes later our cold chips arrived. Followed by our very average pizza. When i asked the waiter if he could heat up our chips so we could eat them at the same time as our pizza he replied "you eat pizza now" and walked off before i could reply. I politely approached the waiter to clarify what I we were talking about he immediately got aggressive and in my face telling me "he is working" to which i replied, "i am paying" i then took a step back to diffuse the situation. He then got in my face again and started to raise his voice. I then said ok we are leaving and left. I have never experienced this kind of awful aggressive service anywhere in the world and i would implore anyone to think again before visiting this restaurant. We then went down the road to the pizza restaurant and had a lovely meal. With...
