Al Grottino — Restaurant in Sacrofano

At first, you might not expect much from this small but charming little restaurant tucked away in a small village called Sacrofano, surrounding the Italian capital of Roma, especially when you are handed the menu and you realize that they do not even have that many dishes to choose from! But, rest assured, even if you opt for starters only or any main - you will be extremely content. My recommendation is to go for their sample everything in smaller quantities version, which is perfect especially if you are more than a couple of people. Mouth watering dishes which consist of meats such as mutton, pork and steaks, typical Italian pastas and great freshly oven baked bread and cakes which they make themselves, decent pizza, all watered down by their own amazing house wines... be prepared to drop somewhere around 30£ for 2-3 people, which is, let's face it, a bargain for what...

One of the greatest Italian dining experiences I've had in my life. Turned up with 4 children under 3 and 4 adults and we were welcomed in like it was a family home. We didn't really order, we were just guided through a 3 course feast steeped in tradition and food that was timeless but certainly not tasteless. I would eat here every day if I could. Try the food they recommend, but especially the ravioli, grilled meats cooked on open fires and the cheese and chacutarie.

Ci siamo trovate per Sacrofano e abbiamo deciso di fermarci a mangiare in questo ristorante. Il locale molto carino, il servizio dobbiamo dire buono. Essendo oggi l epifania avevamo chiesto di poter mangiare fuori visto che il ristorante dispone di più di una sala esterna ed è una giornata soleggiata. La proprietaria alla nostra richiesta ci ha imposto di mangiare all interno poiché fuori è freddo e ne lei ne i suoi camerieri servono le persone nei tavoli esterni altrimenti si ammalano. Al che abbiamo chiesto (e non e il nostro caso) se fosse andato a mangiare qualcuno sprovvisto di green pass come avrebbe fatto e lei ci ha risposto che li avrebbe mandati via. Dopo di ciò arriva la nota dolente per cui questo locale ahimè è assolutamente da evitare. In tavola eravamo 2 adulti e 2 bambini ovviamente non c e un menù sul quale ordinare e ovviamente in questo modo non si vedono i prezzi. Prendiamo 3 antipasti ( onestamente molto misero era forse per 2 persone), 2 primi per noi adulti e 1 pasta al sugo da dividere per i bambini. 2 acque, 2 caffè e un piattino di dolci. Il tutto per la modica cifra di 80€ quindi 20 € a testa sia per noi adulti, che ci può stare e 20€ a testa per i bimbi che troviamo francamente esagerato. Paghiamo e non ci viene data alcuna ricevuta solo uno scontrino sul quale non ci sono specifiche. Al che chiediamo spiegazioni alla proprietaria la quale ci dice che è "tutto fatto in casa" e che secondo lei il prezzo per i bimbi è giusto.
