La Sartania was an unexpected gem. Angelo, the owner, made us feel immediately welcome and proceeded to tell us what was what as there was no menu, which was refreshing. There were only four dishes to choose from, which, as there were limited options, made it quick and easy to choose. We started with the anti-pasta (mozzarella, sausage, ham, zucchini, peppers, fish, potatoes); which was just incredible. Simple, fresh ingredients, bursting with flavour and surprise. To follow, fusilli pasta with pork...delicious, especially when a little of the homemade chilli sauce and grated cheese were thrown into the mix. To finish, a selection of desserts were presented. Again, everything was homemade, and you could taste it. Both the chef, Annaelisa, and Angelo would beam each time they brought another plate of food to us. Angelo delighted in telling us how his grandmother had passed recipes down to him and how all the dishes were from the village of Cilento, where he grew up. Naturally, being in Italy, we were given Limoncello to wrap things up and, something of a first for us both, meloncello, which was more subtle. Great service, great food, and great value. We cannot praise Angelo, Annaelisa, and their food enough. If you’re in Salerno, go and judge for...

Excellent!! Not only was the food Amazing, the Chef and Waitress were also lovely. 💖 I can't imagine a better place for Sunday Lunch. We had cheese, salumi, vegatables, frittata - we skipped Primi (pasta) to get to Segundi. It was several types of grilled meats and salad. We were going to pass on dessert but the waitress said she would make us just a little, tiny dessert... 😄 It was a tiny piece of every dessert! 😍 Each dessert was better than the last. We had such a great time! We had wine and ate to heart's content. Go!!...

We had a wonderful dining experience. We were not given a menu and the host started serving us food when we sat down. At the end he asked us how much we thought the meals were worth. He decided to charge us 25 EUR per plate for the 4 adults and 8 kids in our group. Not a great value, but not a rip off either. The food was great and it was fun to eat family style. If you want seafood, this is not your place, but if you want good mountain food in a relaxed atmosphere, I'd recommend it. It was the highlight of our...

A hidden gem in Salerno! What a lovely experience; exceptional food- very authentic from the town of Cilento in Italy. Service was amazing, especially from the owner Angelo who took the time to chat to us, made us laugh and really have an enjoyable time. Food, drinks and restaurant 10/10. No menu and price list, but very fair and reasonable for all that you get. We left super satisfied and will tell anyone that goes to Salerno to visit this great restaurant. Grazie Mille Angelo and staff!

Came with a couple of friends who had been here before. Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood away from the sea front. Such a little gem that I never would have come to. Had antipasti and pasta and lots of wine. I was too full for the meat course. We were eating with local families which was such a nice experience. Top quality food. Ignore any bad reviews. They are fake. This place is superb home cooked food.

What a gem this place was. We are from Philadelphia so we don’t speak much Italian but the chef spoke great English and made us feel very welcome. There is no menu, however all the dishes for appetizers and the main pasta dish were excellent! We were also given a carafe of delicious red wine. What a great night dining in Salerno and would highly recommend it!! Dinner was $25 and was very worth it.
