Wonderful spot worth seeking out. Our first visit here was at the end of a light rainy day and the staff was incredibly friendly. Food came out fast and was a good value. We had the goulash with polenta and their special which was mushroom and polenta followed up with a homemade berry cake.
One week later and after trying several huttes, we longed to come back here and scheduled one of our last remaining hikes to be in the area. Being a much warmer day, we immediately ordered the blackberry spritz made from their homemade syrup. Light and refreshing with low alcohol. The goulash with polenta was absolutely perfect: hearty, rich, and full of flavor, the kind of dish that feels like it was made for hikers coming in from the trail. To make the experience even more memorable, we enjoyed a delightful conversation with an Italian couple visiting from Tuscany, which added such a warm and authentic touch to the stop.
