Pizzeria Ristorante Al Molino — Restaurant in San Donà di Piave

We came here as recommended and it was fully worth it. We opted for a Panozzo siciliano, a pizza Corallo and a Calzone farcito. All I can say is that our taste buds had a feeric experience that almost misled us to eating a little bit more than it was necessary, which technically is fairly possible due to the large portions of the dishes. So, carrying a food box with you when visiting Al Molino is very useful, because later you'll regret leaving there on the plate any unfinished goodies. The quality of the ingredients used, their putting together, the proportions, the balanced spicing and the overall result is very hard to surpass. The service is also impeccable. Apart from the marvellous food and staff, I would also highlight the nice ambiance of the terrace and of the interior and also the fact that this restaurant is pretty large inside, which doesn't look so from outside. Clienti abituali della precedente gestione (che ora si è solo spostata per avere locali molto più ampi) abbiamo voluto provare anche questa nuova gestione. Purtroppo l’esperienza non è stata così positiva: le porzioni sono abbondanti, i prezzi sono congrui, ma il servizio non è all’altezza. La cameriera che prendeva le ordinazioni non conosceva il menù, e alla richiesta di fare una variazione è risultata alquanto scocciata in quanto avrebbe dovuto “scrivere tutto a mano e non semplice inserire il piatto nell’ordine” . Quando ha portato il pane al tavolo voleva portarlo anche subito via perché avevo manifestato un’intolleranza al glutine (non celiachia), e dopo aver detto “lo lasci pure perché lo mangiano le altre persone” mi sono sentita dire ridendo “ah ok sei una finta celiaca” lasciandoci basiti perché nessuno stava fingendo e nessuno aveva dato queste confidenze. Al momento dell’ordine avevo richiesto se nella grigliata era previsto anche un contorno e mi è stato detto “faccio mettere io delle verdure grigliate “, ma anche lì mi è andata male perché le verdure non sono mai arrivate. Excellent food and very nice restaurant. It is in a not very nice part of The city and a little bit hidden. But don’t let than fool you. The place look really nice from the inside and serves excellent food. We had a nice appetizer, spaghetti frutti di mare and pizza 🍕. Everything top. It’s even worth to stop by if you’re traveling on the highway. Prices normal, food excellent. You can’t do wrong...
