Osteria Gostilna Koršič — Restaurant in San Floriano del Collio / Števerjan

We spontaneously visited Osteria Gostilna Koršič after it was recommended to us by the staff at the winery we were staying at and we’re so glad we did!

From the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. You could really feel the heart in both the hospitality and the food. We had the Biechi and Gnocchi, and the dish called “Franc” with lamb steak. Both the lamb and the Biechi were hands down the best food we’ve had on our entire European road trip.

It was so good that we decided to come back for dinner the same day and we were just as impressed! This time we tried the Summer Burrata, Fusilli, and Grilled Beef with rosemary and potatoes. For dessert, we shared the Elderflower sorbet with gin and rosemary, and the crepes with vanilla ice cream and wild berries, all of it delicious.

The setting is charming and cosy, especially the garden, and the overall vibe is relaxed and full of warmth. The staff made the whole experience extra special with their genuine hospitality.

Sembrava fosse tutto perfetto il personale simpatico , il menù con pietanze golose….. e la cucina ottima. Abbiamo mangiato la prima portata però purtroppo, il servizio dopo è diventato interminabile, arrivati i secondi, i piatti rimanevano sul tavolo e visto che il tempo passava abbiamo chiesto che 2 dei nostri secondi ordinati e n.b. neanche assaggiati, assieme ad un contorno venissero messi in un contenitore “to go”, così li avremmo gustati la sera. Il pranzo si è protratto dalle 12:30 alle 15:30 ed alla fine esausti abbiamo chiesto il conto e siamo andati via ma dopo neanche cinque minuti (non di più) ci siamo resi conto di aver dimenticato sul tavolo le confezioni “to go”. Rientrati immediatamente al ristorante ci riferivano che li avevano gettati nell’umido. Sono contrariato perché non hanno neanche chiesto scusa e non si sono offerti di riparare al disagio creato, Nonostante la cucina molto buona, siamo andati via e non torneremo più contrariati perché alla fin fine il prezzo delle pietanze da noi messe da portare via e ribadisco neanche assaggiate ammontava a circa 40 €. Dopo aver speso in 3 adulti e 2 bimbi 160€ ritengo che avessero almeno potuto proporsi di cucinarci quello che avevano gettato via. Avrebbero potuto metterli da parte almeno sino a fine orario pranzo. Tra le altre cose hanno addotto la scusa che ci avevano seguiti nel parcheggio… ma questo non è vero perché se avessero voluto contattarci avevano il mio numero di cellulare che avevo lasciato al momento della prenotazione. Molto deluso ed una domenica pomeriggio rovinata non per la somma buttata nell’umido ma per la cena che già pregustavamo. Sono una persona che lascia spesso recensioni e non ho mai parlato male di nessuno ma questo comportamento mi ha veramente...

What a fantastic place just outside San Floriano al Collio! The space is welcoming and in summer tables are set up in the beautiful and peaceful garden outside. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, they even recommended a few hikes nearby. The food is absolutely delicious: we tried Biechi as a first course, followed by two meat dishes - I had the veal and it was perfectly done on the grill. Portions are generous but not excessive, and wine and desserts were great too. And prices are very reasonable.
