Hostaria Terre Rosse — Restaurant in San Gimignano

Please read this review: Nice restaurant with friendly service and stuff. We didn’t receive full menu, had expensive menu with very limited expensive dishes. The other guests were eating all the things that wasn’t on the menu we got. I don’t know why was that, didn’t ask. First dish with no taste at all for a lot of money, we returned the dish and didn’t had to pay for. Thats a +! Very frendly response. Second dishes were okay, but not the taste you expect for that value. Honestly I’m very sorry we felt that way but all in all, a nice place with good service! I didn’t quite understand Risotto - without any taste. Stuff member said that this is “our” toscanian dish and we just didn’t like it. I asked him what should we taste here and didn’t got the answer. Griled chicken was smal, plating was terrible - just a small piece of old and undercooked chicken with bones mostly on a few leaves of dry untasty salad for 16eur. You can do better. Very good stuffed rabbit dish. Wanted to buy a desert but haven’t had courage to do so. I was afraid that I would again pay a lot...

We had a nice dinner at the hotels restaurant - ordered a starter (very very small) and a Fiorentina. The Fiorentina was nice but very fatty and bill came up to €170+ with two glasses of wine and a beer …. Needless to say, given this is Tuscany we...

Location molto bella e anche la zona dove si cena, in questa corte tutta illuminata. Stop, finiscono qui i complimenti purtroppo. Si percepiva disorganizzazione in “sala”, servizio decisamente lento. Antipasti ok, salumi e due formaggi in un tagliere, delle patate e delle verdure al forno…. Ma tutto anche molto facile da fare. Primi piatti arrivati freddi, i pici con il sugo d’anatra slegati tra loro, al dente ma soprattutto ripeto, FREDDI (14€ ) , i miei tortelli ripieni di bufala( non L ho nemmeno sentita) e pesto (quale pesto?) arrivati anche loro freddi e asciutti/secchi altri (14€). Mi spiace proprio dover dire che è stata un’esperienza decisamente deludente. Abbiamo finito il cibo nel piatto ma di sicuro non valevano il prezzo scritto...
