Tiffany — Restaurant in San Giovanni Rotondo

it is ironic the place gave itself an english name "tiffany", which to us, implies the owner knows there is a world outside this mountain town. but the attitude and the treatment the heavily made up woman gave us only proved this is your hillbilly italiano! complemento. we came here to watch the stage finish of today's giro. for a place hosting such an event, it is mind boggling that NO place was open! we walked 2 KM from the finish and came to this one because it is the first place that serves some food (not real food still, but pizza slices) and is open. i ordered two slices of pizza. they were served cold. she did not bother to warm them up. when i ordered one french fries. she barked something to me in italian, and when i looked at her she put up 10 fingers. i was like "are you saying it is €10?" my husband came over to help and guessed she was saying it was going to take long time. when we said "that is fine". she became even madder. i guess she hoped we'd say no she did not have to make any. this place is know for its shiny new mega church. padre pio must be raining money on these people so no one needs to work on a good business day or do not want to work (at least not for people who speak english) even when they are open. and this single experience (being here for the giro) makes up our entire impression about the town and its people. good luck san...

Ragazzi siete bravissimi. Sempre tanta scelta di pizza al taglio e i panzerotti mi ricordano quelli di Monte. Poi le versioni dei panzerotti ripieni ...wow...semplicemente fantastici. La pizza ottima. E poi se finisce quella al taglio, basta scegliere e in 10 minuti ti servono pizze tonde a scelta. L'impasto secondo me è il punto di forza, tira al punto giusto. Né alta né bassa. Come si faceva una volta la pizza a San Giovanni, con il giusto tocco di modernità....

Vasta scelta di pizze...ottima cottura e qualità...suggerirei di mettere una tovaglietta usa e getta singola come coperto, onde evitare l'appoggio della portata sul tavolo spoglio di tovagliame. Magari, usando tavoli più piccoli, si riuscirebbe a rendere più accogliente l'ambiente...evitando tavolini vicino il bancone di vendita al dettaglio. Per il resto, prezzi nella norma, buona musica ed ambiente giovanile.Sicuramente locale da annotare e provare...
