We came here because we saw so many good reviews here on google, but what can I say it sadly was one of the worst experiences we had in Italy. Of course taste can always differ and therefore I will not say „don’t go there“ but some aspects are at least important to know before your go: there is no written menu which means you can’t choose your dish (you can only say yes to their „recommendation“) dishes served/ recommended contain offals (e.g lamb stomach) our dishes were cold and not tasty at all (e.g. cooked vegetable with bread, fried courgette) we had absolutely no clarity on how much is which dish (in the end the price was totally fair) hospitality strongly differs between the younger and older family members (this might also be based on language but we definitely did not feel welcomed by the dad/ older men) with 95% Italian speaking customers we as English speaking had the feeling of being clients of „second class“; something we never experienced in Italy before
As I said in the beginning this might only be a personal experience, but when we left we definitely had the feeling that we could have had a much better evening in...

We only made it through 3 courses we were so full. The best part was their homemade Amaro, an herbal liquor digestif. They put the bottle on your table so you could have as much as you wanted. All this for 35 euro for...
Read moreWe came here based on the positive reviews on google and trip advisor and this place lived up to it's 5-star rating.
We arrived just after they opened for dinner and we seated in a small room at the back of the restaurant. We had no idea what to expect when we sat down and the waiter with his limited English said "you get traditional?" We said sure and wow...what a meal he presented. We received 4 courses and by the time the 4th had come out we had to turn away dessert which would have been their 5th offering.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, service and yes amazing food! I would without hesitation come back to Chiazza Ranna for...
