The Loft 37 — Restaurant in San Martino Buon Albergo

I found this restaurant on Google maps upon my arrival on my way to Normandy… I was looking reataurant colse to my hotel. This one was only 3min drive Big parking, great stufff… as Pizzeria/tratoria menu is mostly oizzas and pastas… I ordered biftek tartare as starter….it was something but not biftek tartare… meat was chopped, lack of spices and tastless Pasta carrbonara improve my opinion on this restaurant… great made and creamy… Steak was ok… only missed any kind of sauce… roasted potatos as side were great… If I come here will come back for pastas for sure… Great thing.. they have Heiniken 00 great if you choice...

We are from Belgium, and we had a different idea of refined Italian cuisine. This establishment seems well-known and very popular with locals. We trusted this first impression, but we were disappointed by the dishes served to us. We paid and went to find consolation elsewhere, where we were reconciled with Italian cuisine.

Service, aperitives are good and we received some good appetizers to wait before our dishes.

If dishes were more refined it would have been...

Credo che questo locale avrebbe tutte le carte in regola per essere uno dei migliori della zona. Il cibo è buono e gli interni molto curati, ottima zona bimbi, grande parcheggio. Però purtroppo per quanto riguarda l'aperitivo non ci siamo proprio. Prima del covid c'era un ricco buffet che era una meraviglia, ora i prezzi dei cocktail sono aumentati ma come cibo ti portano un piattino con una fetta di mortadella, tre pezzettini di formaggio, un salatino, un involtino. Anche se al tavolo si è in quattro questa è la quantità portata, è vergognoso e fa sentire a disagio gli avventori costretti a scegliere chi mangerà cosa. Le patatine le portano solo su richiesta, quasi controvoglia e talvolta tutte sbriciolate, cosa che farebbe inorridire anche nella peggiore bettola, figuriamoci in un locale che dovrebbe/potrebbe essere elegante e di classe. Ma lo capite che se portate cibo a sufficienza la gente fa più giri, magari restano lí tutta sera, se invece ha fame cambia locale o no???? Il personale, non tutto ovvio, è formato da ragazzi troppo giovani che ti accolgono e servono con freddezza senza parlare nemmeno troppo bene l'italiano e rispondendoti mugugnando. Un vero peccato perché potrebbe essere un gioiellino...
