We visited this restaurant ať 7 PM, Wednesday. We have ordered wine, water, grilled calamari as a starter, grilled meat plate for 2 persons (beef, pork steak, chicken breast, sausage, pork skewer, minced meat, grilled vegetable) as a main course. Service was rellative quick in this prime time. Tables (really small tables for 2 persons) nearby the others, about 50cm, so you could see in the neighbour's mouth and plate.
First we got grilled calamari. Grilled but no tasty, no salty. There were no bread, only really wet not working salt and olive oil and vinegar, on the table. We didn't get plates for each of us. After 5 minutes I had to stand up and asked for plates and white bread. (The basic service in Italy is called Copertto and costs about 2 - 3 € mostly in all the country). During we are eating the starter, the waiter came, and he has had a great plate with all ordered meats on her hand. We didn't finished, just started to eat, fortunatelly there was not a place to put on our table or another. He left to the kitchen with.
Than we got a drinks. One glass with a lip print. Immediately they brought a meat plate. There wasn't really a place for big plate from wood and two eat plates on the table. We had no knives no forks, I had to ask for, whenever the waiter was bringing the cutlery.
So now. Food: calamari with no spicy, no salty, but fortunatelly there was a Dijon sauce on the side. Main course: no spicy, no salty, really only the taste of meat. No sauce, totaly without any mark od taste. Beef medaillons with a part of blood, extremly hard to eat, skewer no taste, the same pork and chicken. Grilled vegetable the same. Naturally taste of vegetable and meat only. No mark of any spice. The sausage was only one with some taste.
9.30 PM restaurant mostly empty, no service for any other order.
Sorry, but if you want to have dinner in this turist place, choose another pub. For more standart nearby across the street Pepperoncino. Not so fancy, but with taste of food.
Appologize, but thats...
Read moreWe have been here before several times during the years but probably won't come back. The food is good, the place is nice and the waiter wasn't unfriendly but that's about it. Although the place wasn't full, it took some time before we got to order. The waiter suggested we order some pizza crust while we waited for our pastas since 'it would take some time for them to be ready'. The crusts arrived at the same time as the pastas so that was totally useless. The pastas arrived in saucepans instead of on plates so we tried to cram in 3 large saucepans, plates, a basket with bread, a large plate with the crusts and glasses with wine, beer and water. It was ridiculous actually. Please, when customers order several different pastas, just serve them on plates. We didn't go out to eat to play tetris with the dishes.
After dinner, the waiter brought a dessert menu to which we said 'no thank you' but he crammed it down on the table anyway, causing a glass of water to spill onto two in our company. The waiter seemed genuinely sorry but didn't offer anything as compensation other than a towel to dry of.
When paying with card, you have to walk to the bar and know the number your table has instead of the waiter walking with you to the bar.
The food is expensive but it would be worth it if the rest of the experience was fine, such as the waiters smiling and chatting with you and your small children instead of just doing their job like robots.
When paying, they asked if everything was fine to which I explained the issues we had had during our meal. The only compensation we were offered was some coffee, no discount. When I later saw that they had charged us for our not even 1,5 year old the 'coperto' although she was just eating our food with her hands and our cutleries, I was kinda disappointed. No other restaurants during our 2 weeks stay has charged us for her sitting with us. It felt like the nail in the coffin for us, never to...
Read moreWe had a lunch here today, 8 people. Food was good, salmon pasta dry. What shocked me was a charge for Coperto -2,70eur per person. When I asked the waiter why am I paying 20 eur extra, he answered it is for aircon, olive oil and everything….. we did not get ANY bread sticks before meal, nothing, no cheese NOTHING !!!! only had olive oil on the table and balsamic vinegar… that is it!! We paid for water,, when I was paing at the cash register I asked the waiter if tip is included he said not so I tipped him with five euros… and then I found out that I already paid 20 eur for NOTHING just to sit there with aircon above my head !!!!! Would never go back to this place and would not recommned to others either!!! This is scam !! You CAN NOT CHARGE PEOPLE FOR SOMETHING YOU HAVE NOT DELIVER !!!!!! Waiter told me after I aksed about it, that it is not his rule … yes I believe so but as a waiter who is charging the price to the customers you suppose to know that you MUST provide value for this charge customer is later...
