Al Vittoriale — Restaurant in Sanremo

We stayed near the restaurant at the top of the mountain. Al Vittoriale was the closest restaurant so we definitely had to try it. We were immediately won over by the choice of dishes and the atmosphere. We had great appetizers, good pasta dishes and great pizza. After the excellent tiramisu, we got the espresso as a gift at the end. We asked the restaurant to call us a taxi that would take us back to our accommodation. Unfortunately it was not possible for us and also the owner to order one. The owner didn't hesitate though and explained that he and one of the waitresses would drive us up the hill to the lower cottage in their private vehicle. We really appreciate this heartfelt gesture. So we decided to eat another three evenings in this great restaurant. We not only received some limoncello on the house, but also felt the hospitality of Fulvio and his employees. Uno dei miei posti preferiti dove fuggire dalla pazza folla... Non è in centro ma leggermente sulla collina ( questo per me è un pregio) dove oltre alla bella vista si gode di una ottima brezza. Consigliatissimi i posti sulla veranda... La pizza è molto buona, ma anche la carne alla brace, le rostelle e i primi sono squisiti e in porzioni giuste, non da "nuovelle cuisine".. A me piace molto un piatto di pesce " la gazzera" da gustare in modo conviviale. Inoltre, la signora Angelica è veramente una eccellente padrona di casa, affabile gentile.
