Pizzeria Rewind — Restaurant in Sanremo

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat late at night while driving back to Italy from France. We did not know the area and accidentally found this place when we got stuck in a small street with a big car. Chiara helped us find parking for our car and told us about the local places around us to eat even though this was her restaurant. After sitting down at this restaurant, the workers were so personable and were patient with our limited Italian while helping us understand the menu (Chiara spoke English as well). The food was absolutely delicious, came out very quickly, was filling and a great price! For our first time in Italy out of all the local places we have eaten this was our favorite. Sotto consiglio di una mia amica decido di prenotare in questo ristorante sito nella prima collina di Sanremo, nel mezzo di una caratteristica piazzetta e accanto ad una stupenda chiesa del XVI° secolo. Entro e ad accogliermi trovo le proprietarie, madre e figlia molto gentili e sorridenti, mi fanno accomodare e rimango affascinato dai colori caldi e vivi del posto. Ordino un antipasto e per il secondo mi lascio consigliare... Da lì i miei 5 sensi hanno cominciato a lavorare senza sosta... Salame di cervo, prosciutto di cinghiale, lardo di patanegra, formaggio di gratin bleu e d'alba affinato nel Barbera, salsa alla cipolla di tropea, miele e una salsa piccante che sul formaggio era la morte sua, il tutto con un cestino di focaccia appena sfornata ( fanno anche delle pizze molto buone). E quando penso di non poter più rimanere sbigottito ecco la sorpresa una costata di manzo e un sottofiletto di manzo con cui ho totalmente perso la dignità divorandoli nel vero senso della parola.

Devo ammettere che raramente trovi una tale qualità di prodotto nei posti più fuori mano, ma il rewind si merita 5 stelle... Peccato non poterne...
