Il Panorama in Sant’Agata is one of those restaurants that immediately captures your attention. The view is truly magnificent – sweeping panoramas of the coastline that make you want to linger for hours. The setting is elegant yet relaxed, and the staff were welcoming and attentive, which gave us a wonderful first impression. It is the kind of place where you expect the food to match the scenery and the service, and in previous years, it actually did. I remember enjoying meals here that were flavorful, carefully prepared, and truly worthy of the location.
Sadly, this time the experience was very different. The food was the weakest part of the evening by far. Dishes lacked freshness and flavor, and the presentation felt careless. Instead of celebrating the local ingredients and the region’s culinary traditions, the meal felt uninspired and poorly executed. Course after course, we kept hoping things would improve, but they never did.
It is such a disappointment, because the restaurant has everything else going for it – the view, the atmosphere, and kind service. If the kitchen returned to the quality it once had, Il Panorama could easily be a standout destination again. But as it is now, the food simply does not justify the visit, except perhaps for a drink while soaking in the...
Read moreWe found this place on Google map and decided to try it out. The road leading to the parking lot is quite tight so if you are driving a big car, be careful. We had a small car and it was quite a squeeze to get to the parking lot. The gentleman who welcomed and served us was friendly and spoke English well. English menu could be accessed via QR code. Service was prompt and good. We ordered the mixed grilled vegetables and buffalo mozzarella to start. Then the grilled lamb chops and clams in butter with a side of potato chips with parmesan. Finished with espressos. It was a really satisfying meal. Everything was well done. The view is beautiful, panoramic view of Sorrento with Mt Vesuvius in the back ground. We could also see Positano on the other side of the cliffs. The only down side is the noise from the rumbling traffic from the road below the dining area. It's not too bad but you can hear it when a big truck passes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying it out.
Note: they serve pizzas...

Prices are insanely fair, food is insanely good, oh and there’s an epic view as well. Owner of the restaurant was our server and was nothing short of incredible. I wish tonight wasn’t our last night here so I could keep eating here time and time again.
My wife and I shared the Gorgonzola gnocchi and the diavolina pizza. Both were incredible! I also had a half litre of house wine which was only €7 and it did the trick.
Cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our time here tonight. Food 10, atmosphere 10 and everything else was 10/10.
