An Italian Gem, a Feast for All Senses
Our visit to this magnificent Italian restaurant, now an annual tradition during our vacation in Italy, never fails to enchant us with its magical fusion of culinary art, charming hospitality, and breathtaking views.
Let's start with the delightful encounter we had with our server, Ornella. In her, we found not just an exceptional server, but a passionate ambassador of the family-owned establishment. It's worth mentioning that Ornella is the daughter of the owner, her passion for the place, her family's legacy and the exquisite cuisine served, only added a special, personal touch to our dining experience. Her attentiveness and vivacity, coupled with her wealth of knowledge about the menu, the restaurant's history, and Italian cuisine, truly elevated our dining experience.
The setting of the restaurant is simply mesmerizing. The view, a panoramic spectacle overlooking the entire Gulf of Naples, is nothing short of immaculate. Each meal is accompanied by this grand display of nature’s art, a feast for the eyes as much as the food is for the palate. Eating with such a backdrop creates an atmosphere that transcends the normal dining experience, making it feel more like a spiritual communion with the enchanting Italian landscape.
And the food! It's a sensory journey through the heart of Italy. Each dish is an artwork on its own, beautifully presented, and smells divine, coaxing your palate before you even take a bite. The taste, needless to say, is an exquisite symphony of authentic Italian flavors, where every ingredient sings. Paired with their expertly curated wine selection, it was an experience that savored long after the meal ended.
In summary, this is not just a restaurant, it's a sanctuary for all senses, a place where culinary passion, artistry, and Italian hospitality intertwine to create a truly unique experience. For anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic journey and a piece of Italy's heart and soul, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. See you again next year,...
Read moreSo firstly I believe you should visit this restaurant for the scenery and the build/buildings alone which I would give 5 stars too…..absolutely stunning and if you can go there for the sunset even better. So we went on a Wednesday night, we booked for pick up at 7pm and got collected from our hotel and returned when we were ready. We were the first there so you’d think because we were first there that we would be served first but this wasn’t the case. Service was very slow (and at this point there were only a family of 4 and another couple in the whole place), so it’s quite a quiet place. It took around 15 mins for my G&T to come out which was the only drink I was offered in the 2 hours we were there. My husband ordered a Peroni which came out straight away but the only drink he was offered too! I ordered lobster linguine and to be honest, it wasn’t worth it. Very little meat in the lobster and my husband had steak with fries. Steak was tough and chips over cooked. Trying to get attention of the waitresses was pretty hard so after a lot of trying we asked for the bill and our ride home. Other people we spoke to also said their food wasn’t great either and they thought it was just their food choice but for all to say it about different dishes, I think it’s not just food choices. But as I’ve said, the views are amazing so maybe if you go, eat before you go and order 2 bottles of wine instead when you...
Read moreA short walk from my hotel (Prestige) and you suddenly feel as though you're entering a private domain. The entrance is majestic, especially at the end of the day when the sun is beginning to set and the sky takes on that magical hue. The views are breathtaking no matter where you are seated. I arrived when the restaurant was still nearly empty (around 7:30 p.m.) but was welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. The menu is not extensive but offers a wide variety of reasonably priced dishes. Pasta, fish and meat.
The grilled squid was a generous portion, simple but tasty, and cooked to perfection, not chewy at all. I was disappointed with the bread, which seemed a bit stale or perhaps not homemade. The complimentary bruschetta while you're waiting is a nice touch. The ravioli with walnuts and provolone cheese are amazing, full of flavor and creamy. The Neapolitan baba and cream were okay but nothing special, and I found the portion rather small. The view and attentive service made up for the hit or miss food. I went again a few times (it's the only restaurant next to the hotel) and it was overall a pleasant experience. The food is not amazing but good, and the prices are fair. The house white wine is really nice and generously served. The tiramisu is good. But what makes the place really special is the amazing view and the friendly and attentive...
