Il Poeta Albergo — Restaurant in Santa Maria a Monte

We travel a lot around the world, however we never had such a bad experience anywhere. We got to the hotel a little bit late. The atmosphere was a bit scary, the entire hotel was like a haunted house with weird noises - an old lady was moaning -, scary lighting. We still decided to check out the room, but it was really ugly: small, old furniture, dirty walls, not too nice restroom. The children got really scared and did not want to stay there, in fact they just wanted to get out as soon as possible. I asked for a refund, but I was told I have to wait for the manager until Monday. Now that was not possible, but I was told I can call to ask for a refund. And that is exactly what I did not once, but at least 10 times! at the end the manager was very arrogant and rude and I never received the money back for the night we did not spend at this...

Un Cenone di Capodanno deludente al Ristorante "Il Poeta"

Il nostro cenone di Capodanno presso il Ristorante "Il Poeta" è stato tutto tranne che poetico. Avevamo prenotato con anticipo per 6 adulti e 3 bambini, versando un consistente acconto, ma l'esperienza è stata costellata da inconvenienti fin dall'inizio.

All'arrivo, abbiamo saldato immediatamente il conto, ma l'amara sorpresa è arrivata quando ci siamo resi conto che adulti e bambini erano stati separati, con i bambini relegati al piano terra e gli adulti al terzo piano. Una scelta organizzativa incomprensibile che ha compromesso l'intera serata.

Il caos è sorto quando ci è stato comunicato che il nostro tavolo, nonostante la prenotazione e il pagamento anticipato del 50% un mese prima, non era più disponibile e nessuno ci aveva informato di questa possibilità al momento del saldo. Dopo un acceso scambio di parole, durante il quale la titolare ha alzato notevolmente i toni, ci è stato assegnato un nuovo tavolo in una sala affollata, dove i camerieri faticavano a muoversi.

Il cibo del menù adulti ha raggiunto a malapena la sufficienza, mentre il menù bimbi, al costo di 40 euro, ha proposto un hamburger immangiabile e patate al forno pericolose per i bambini, in quanto dure e gommose tanto da renderne impossibile la corretta masticazione per i bimbi più piccoli, lasciati soli al piano terra.

In definitiva, il Ristorante "Il Poeta" ha offerto un'esperienza deludente e poco professionale nel gestire prenotazioni e servizio. Una serata che avremmo voluto fosse speciale si è trasformata in una delusione da evitare in futuro.

La prenotazione è stata confermata al mattino, alle 17 le abbiamo chiesto a che ora iniziava il cenone ma non si è nemmeno degnata di rispondere. Siamo arrivati alle 21:30, abbiamo pagato e sistemato i bambini al piano terra prima di salire al terzo piano dove lei si trovava, alle 21:45. Se la prenotazione non fosse stata più valida, perché non è stato comunicato al nostro arrivo, prima del saldo? Avete ceduto il tavolo a qualche gruppo dell'ultimo minuto, sacrificando la nostra prenotazione. Incassare è stato più importante che rispettare gli accordi, ammassando 200 persone dove probabilmente ce ne sarebbero state la metà.
