Review:
It is a charming fish restaurant nestled right by the sea, and had a wonderful experience overall. The location is absolutely perfect, offering stunning views of the sea that create a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Watching the waves gently lap against the shore while enjoying a meal is truly an unbeatable experience.
Ambiance: The restaurant has a cozy and inviting ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We opted for a table on the patio, which was beautifully set up with comfortable seating and soft lighting. The sound of the sea and the cool breeze made for a delightful dining environment.
Service: The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, which we greatly appreciated.
Food: The highlight of the evening was, of course, the food. We started with the seafood platter, which was fresh and flavorful, featuring an assortment of oysters, shrimp, and crab. For the main course, I chose the grilled sea bass, which was cooked to perfection – flaky and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. My dining companion had the lobster risotto, which was rich and creamy, with generous portions of lobster.
Drinks: The drink menu offered a good selection of wines and cocktails. We enjoyed a crisp white wine that paired wonderfully with our seafood dishes.
Value: While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the breathtaking location make it worth the splurge. It’s an ideal spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner by the sea.
Suggestions: My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer a few more dessert options. While the ones available were delicious, a bit more variety would be a nice addition to the menu.
Overall, 58 restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious seafood meal with a spectacular view of the ocean. I look forward to returning and trying more of their offerings.

Read moreThe joys of getting off the autostradas is not only do you get to see fantastic vistas but you get to experience local food. Al58 is one such. A little seafood restaurant right on the beach, its fresh, its delicious, the service is friendly and efficient and it has great views of the sea. Unfortunately this delightful lunch break came to a terrible end as when we walked back to our car we found it had been broken in to and all our luggage stolen! Our bags were all in the boot and were not visible from outside so clearly this was a gang that knew what they were doing!! We reported to the carabiniere who couldn't do much other than write out a police report. Subsequently checking on travel forums it turns out that this is a regular phenomenon here and several tourists over the years have faced a similar traumatic theft , hence I hesitate to recommend this restaurant solely for this reason. The town should do something to improve the situation of such rampant thefts, else this beautiful seaside town will suffer in the long run if such incidents continue unchecked.
This is why I have given it 3 stars. Despite 5 star worthy food we left with a very bitter taste...
Read moreTourist are clearly NOT welcomed here. We said we needed a table for 2 and were told it would be 10 minutes-not a problem. We waited outside and 10 minutes later another couple-Clearly locals, were seated immediately. I was told it would be another minute. Sure, we didn’t mind waiting. Then the waiter came outside and told us “do you have your bags in the car? You shouldn’t leave them. There is a band of thieves that will break into your car and steal them.” Clearly a comment to scare away tourist. He told us we could bring our bags inside. That’s just ridiculous. This restaurants already very small and tight. I wish he would have told us this before seating others and we waited 15 minutes. We were made to feel very uncomfortable and not welcomed there. Tourist beware...
