I visited this unpretentious restaurant by accident I now feel that it was serendipity that took me there. Immediately I arrived help was at hand by charming young lady that despite being obviously busy still attended my needs with grace. Her being fluent in English made the experience even more relaxed. I was also given a lot of time and attention in choosing a dish. The final choice was very simple and could very easily have been bland but contrary to that it was perfection even to high Italian standards also great value for money. Only one tiny negative if I try very hard to find is that as they have a QR code for the menu. With just a little extra effort it could be in any language not just Italian, just a thought but I was given even better help than any QR card

I returned this evening and sadly had a totally different experience

Food was still excellent but the service was appalling. I waited to be helped. Having decided that I was actually being ignored, I ensured attention and was politely asked to wait, after 10 minutes I was approached again and asked, again, for my requirements then asked to wait yet again the whole evening continued in a similar vein and for 60 € for one person, not best value. Just goes to show the value of good staff. I wish that I had noted her name but she was the manager’s girlfriend. 2 of her worth 20 of the rest. I am not going to recommend as the chances of quality service for premium prices are not high. Enjoyment is the pleasure of the ambience combined with the great service and excellent food. Attirata dalle bellissime recensioni, decido di cenare in questo "ristorante". Arrivata, rimango stupita dal posto, che non sembra assolutamente un ristorante, ma non volendo giudicare un libro dalla copertina, non ci do tanto peso. (sapevo fosse anche bar e pasticceria, ma essendo comunque ristorante, non mi aspettavo il tipo di ambiente) Ci sediamo e: 1.tavoli o esageratamente grandi o, come il nostro, abbastanza stretti 2.menù solo online, lo chiediamo alla carta ma non esiste un menù cartaceo, e siamo costretti a guardare in due con un telefono e connessione lenta!! 3.la porta rimane aperta, e piovigginando, siamo costretti a mangiare con giubbotto per il freddo Ordiniamo 2 antipasti: Vitello tonnato e tomino di Genova, e 2 piatti: patata ripiena di gorgonzola e fritto misto. Gli antipasti buoni, niente da dire, anzi ci sono piaciuti molto. Attesa esagerata per l'arrivo degli altri due piatti, probabilmente hanno iniziato a lessare la patata ripiena quando la ho ordinata, non mi viene in mente altra spiegazione... Mi è piaciuto il commento della cameriera, che dopo una ventina di minuti ci ha avvisato, per rassocurarci, che i nostri piatti stessero arrivando, cosa ovviamente non vera dato che abbiamo dovuto aspettare altri venti minuti. Arrivano i piatti, ma purtroppo questa volta ne rimaniamo molto delusi: la patata dura e farinosa all'interno, mentre il "gran" fritto alla soglia del decente e a un prezzo davvero sproporzionato. Ce ne siamo andati con i piatti quasi pieni, sconcertati dalla situazione. Fortuna che il coperto non lo fanno pagare, dato che praticamente non esiste. Mi dispiace per il servizio, composto da camerieri gentili e disponibili, e per quello che credo fosse il proprietario, che, accogliente, girava tra i tavoli. Potrà pur esser un bar o una pasticceria, ma questo non è assolutamente...

What a lovely experience. By far our best meal of our holiday to date. Service was exceptional and prompt, even with the restaurant full of other diners. When we arrived before the kitchen was prepared, we were offered a drink and plate of chips and peanuts...we could have eaten theses all night! I had the Battuta Al Coltello which is a local spin on a tartare - absolutely delicious. The only problem was we didn't have room for dessert! Highly recommended to anyone...
