Il Marino di Puntaldia — Restaurant in Santu Diadòru/San Teodoro

We had the pleasure of visiting Il Marino for a cooking class, recommended to us by Baglioni Resort, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sardinia. Although our time on the island was limited, Enza and Michele went out of their way to accommodate us—squeezing us in between their regular hours, which we deeply appreciated (we visited during the off-season, so do plan ahead during peak times!).

The cooking class itself was absolutely exceptional. Michele guided us with such passion and patience, sharing not only his deep culinary knowledge but also little secrets that make Sardinian cuisine truly special. We learned how to filet fresh fish, prepare rich stock, make pasta from scratch, and explore the incredible variety of dishes Il Marino has to offer.

Throughout the experience, we could feel the heart and soul of this place—Chef Marco even surprised us with new creations from the kitchen for us to taste along the way. It was an immersive, hands-on journey into Italian cooking that we’ll never forget.

An Unforgettable Seafood Experience!

From start to finish, everything about this restaurant was absolutely amazing. The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor — from the appetizers to the main course, and even dessert.

Respinti da un locale altezzoso di San Teodoro per un mancato Dress Code. Semplicemente io in pantaloncini e la mia compagna vestiti da spiaggia,ci imbattiamo in questo splendido locale. Accolti da personale professionale e disponibile,ci siamo accomodati all'interno del locale,da quel momento inizia la magia. Tutto è perfetto,i profumi,i colori,la gentilezza dei camerieri,in pochi minuti ci siamo sentiti a casa,come se fossimo clienti da una vita. Nonostante i nostri abiti fossero da spiaggia,siamo stati accolti e serviti come due ospiti speciali. Il trattamento riservato a noi è stato riservato a ogni persona all'interno del locale e neanche tempo di ordinare,che guardandoci intorno ogni piatto che usciva dalla cucina,sembrava un dipinto. Abbiamo mangiato ambe le proposte io carne e la mia compagna pesce,ed è con stupore e con le papille gustative alle stelle che scrivo questa recensione. Non solo si è mangiato un pesce fuori dal normale,fresco,con ingredienti in contorno unici della terra sarda,ma ogni impiattamento uscito dalla cucina era poesia,lo chef è un talento. Però la cosa piú straordinaria per me è stata,mangiare la piú buona e fresca battuta al coltello CON LA VISTA DEL MARE,non so se potete capire,ma mangiare carne di qualitá con un Roof vista mare,per me è la prima volta nella vita. Ma si sa la cucina non basta a fare funzionare un locale e noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di essere serviti da Leonardo che da subito ci ha emozionato nel raccontarci i piatti e le proposte dello chef.
