L'amorino — Restaurant in Scandicci

Recommended by the staff at villa where we stayed next to Scandicci, and all I can say to them: THANK YOU!!! We (2 adults + 2 minors - 11) went there for a dinner and from the first moment everything was more than ok: reception, getting a table, service - in English! 💪, and later on when the food came = pure joy! 👍👍👍 Portions more than enough, taste = great (I had mixed meat platter and everything was really good, and I know a thing or two about meat 😎), pizza looked like it should and tasted great (I had to try from my daughter when I saw it 😉). Great draught beer! And service was excellent! Fast, professional and everything on time, no need to yell or wave endlessly... Alltogether=this is how this business should be done! Great job people! 💪💪💪 And it is dog friendly... 👍👍👍 DO NOT MISS...

Cliente da 8 anni e prima d'ora solo una volta ero rimasta delusa, ma era stato nel periodo di agosto e ho pensato che magari il cuoco era in ferie; in quel caso prendemmo spaghetti allo scoglio che di solito erano sempre stati in bianco, ci vennero portati con aggiunta di pommarola con basilico e il polpo senza essere spellato con pezzi di pelle gelatinosa e viscida che abbiamo dovuto scartare. Abbiamo voluto riprovare a dare fiducia e siamo tornati mangiando solo la pizza ed era buona. Poi di recente abbiamo avuto un'altra cattiva esperienza su tutti i lati. Il prosciutto crudo dell'antipasto era durissimo come fosse stato tagliato e lasciato a seccare all'aria per molto tempo. Il polpo era di nuovo con la viscida pelle gelatinosa e il condimento dello scoglio notevolmente ridotto. Il prosciutto cotto sulla pizza puzzava di andato a male, anche due signori vicino al nostro tavolo dicevano che aveva un cattivo sapore e lo hanno tolto lasciandolo nel piatto. La mia pizza con i porri era allagata di aceto, probabilmente perché hanno usato porri sottaceto senza farli sgrondare, pizza rovinata completamente. Non era mai successo. Avrei voluto lamentarmi con la titolare che è sempre molto gentile e chiede se tutto è andato bene, ma il mio compagno non voleva alzare discussioni e soprattutto non voleva passare per uno che chiede sconti. Sull'attesa delle pizze devo dire che se si va presto non ci sono problemi, ma dalle 8 in poi ci vuole un'ora, se va bene, per mangiare. Dispiace perché fino a pochi anni fa l'Amorino era una garanzia, ma visto la qualità degli ingredienti ultimamente, e il fatto che non c'è più personale all'altezza di cucinare non mi sento di riprovare. Non so se la titolare sia al corrente di quello che viene messo nei piatti, ma consiglio di affidarsi a persone più preparate perché...

So we were looking for restaurants where there is something for our kids. Yes 2 of 3 are a bit picky, yes its our fault but this info is for other like us. The food here is ok, had a good pasta but the pizza that was the go to thing for our oldest wasnt good at all and we saw them serving pizzas all evening so either we got a pizza that tasted bad or we just have a totally different palett of taste than the rest or the guests.
