Bar Epomeo — Restaurant in Serrara Fontana

Wir standen abends vor der Bar, um den Bus zurück nach Forio zu nehmen. Der Mann hinterm Thesen sagte, der Bus käme erst später, wir könnten noch einen Kaffee trinken. Der nicht leckerere Capuccino (der Espresso war viel zu dünn) wurde am Tisch serviert, so dass wir wohl auch noch das Coperto bezahlen mussten (3,50€ für einen Cappuccino!) Und da fuhr dann unser Bus vorbei und wir mussten im schon recht kalten Abend fast eine Stunde auf den nächsten Bus warten. Ich komme öfter nach Ischia aber diese Bar wird mich nie wiedersehen.

We were standing in front of the bar that evening to catch the bus back to Forio. The man behind the counter said the bus wouldn't arrive until later and we could have another coffee. The cappuccino, which wasn't particularly tasty (the espresso was much too weak), was served at the table, so we probably had to pay for the cappuccino (€3.50 for a cappuccino!). And then our bus drove by, and we had to wait almost an hour for the next bus in the already quite cold evening. I come to Ischia often, but I'll never visit this bar again.

Quella sera eravamo davanti al bar per prendere l'autobus per tornare a Forio. L'uomo dietro il bancone ci disse che l'autobus non sarebbe arrivato prima e che avremmo potuto prendere un altro caffè. Il cappuccino, che non era particolarmente buono (l'espresso era troppo leggero), fu servito al tavolo, quindi probabilmente dovemmo pagarlo (3,50 € per un cappuccino!). Poi passò il nostro autobus e dovemmo aspettare quasi un'ora per il successivo, in una serata già piuttosto fredda. Vengo spesso a Ischia, ma non rivedrò mai...

Partiti dalla fermata del bus CD a Fontana, abbiamo effettuato la scalata del Monte Epomeo a piedi verso la vetta. C.ca 50/60 min di scalata con percentuali di oltre il 30/35% in almeno tre tratti. È stata dura, abbastanza. L'alternativa sarebbe stata arrivare il auto o in scooter fino al parcheggio inferiore ed accorciare cosi la "scalata" da 60 min a cirva un quarto d'ora, ma eravamo in 7 e quindi bus + piedi. Oltre al meraviglioso panorama la dolce scoperta è stata credetemi un caffè buonissimo, ma veramente buono (!) al Bar Epomeo. Personale cortese, accogliente e prezzi modici. Ma la salita a piedi è DURA. Scarpe comode , bottiglietta acqua obbligatorea, meglio al tramonto facendo attenzione al rientro dopo tramonto in quanto gran parte del sentiero è al buio. Comunque una bella avventura da ripetere in compagnia e un gran rinfresco in cima al Bar Epomeo da godersi prima...
