Cantina Raustella — Attraction in Serrara Fontana

One of the best food and drink experiences I've ever had in my life. My girlfriend and I were heading back from the beach and noticed a winery on the way home and decided to stop with no expectations. We showed up only to find out that it was reservation only. Francesco said to give him one minute and then came back and gave us our own private tour of the vineyard and winery. We then proceeded to share a bottle of white and red wine with meats and cheeses followed by fruit and dessert. All amazing. After it was time to go we were asking for restaurant recommendations on the island for the rest of our trip. Francesco mentioned that they made the best rabbit on the island in his opinion and asked if we wanted some. We said sure and he said he'd bring us some pasta and rabbit. Should definitely not be missed, we've been to Ischia over 4 times and only just found this place. Wow!! This place holds some magic that cannot be put into words, from the gardens to the hospitality to the food and wine... Trust me just go ! We actually just stoped spontaneously for a wine and some bruschetta but founds ourselves taking the full course menu including the best rabbit cooked to perfection. Francesco and Giuseppe father son team and mama in the kitchen made this the most memorable experience we could of asked for. We will be back for sure and we left with a bottle of their white wine. Cantina Raustella was a highlight of our week in Ischia. Francesco, the owner, was so warm and welcoming, making the experience truly special. He provided a fantastic lunch made with fresh ingredients straight from his farm – the bruschetta was absolutely amazing!

The wine tasting was delightful, and we were also treated to a variety of homemade herbal liqueurs and honey, all produced on the farm. Dessert was just as delicious as the rest of the meal.
