Staff friendly . Made us feel welcome . Then totally manipulated what we were going to eat . Didn’t pass a menu so we could discuss, thought was a good idea we talked about what food we liked then decided for us . Not impressed by this method ., and found myself in a debate with the waiter about what foods I was going to eat???. Apitizer served was fish, a selection of different marinated fish. I enjoyed a thin slice of smoked tuna and salmon which was the only fish I liked on the plate with some dry cobbled bread and olives . Then the main was discussed, again we asked to see a menu but no and so the debate starts again . I really couldn’t deal with getting into an argument about what food the waiter would decide I would like so I gave up, even after telling him I wanted Salmon . He decided I was having a special dish of special pasta with a special tomato sauce. I let it be and accepted before I lost my temper as I didn’t want to be rude. The grand finale main course came and it turned out to be gnocchi a cheep and nasty dish you can rock up in afew minutes and buy in the supermarket for €1 . We paid our bill which included a small pitch of red wine and table water €40 and made a run for it before he wanted to add another €10 for a scoop of the special ice cream . We won’t be returning . It’s the worse meal I have ever had . Sorry I’m not being mean I’m being truthful and I hope the restaurant learns a lesson from this review and set their bar higher...
Read moreWe went in two and planned to go for a pizza, because my boyfriend doesn't eat fish. They said because of the difficult times they don't have pizza, which we understood. We couldn't get a menu so we had to order what he told us that he had, which was still perfectly fine, as we know that times right now are not easy, so i took an appetizer from the sea and than pasta with vongole and my boyfriend took pasta with porcini with a salat. In the end we got two appetizers from the sea. We both speak italian, but we said ok maybe it was my fold as i agreed on the fish antipasto so I had to eat them almost both. We were the only customers by the time while we were there, and the staff was always around us, rather sitting on the table or walking around. After that my pasta came it was really nice and the pasta with porcini was okay they forgot about the salad. Still We had a bottle of water a 1/2liter wine and two coffee and...
Read moreWe loved this place!!!! Their food is not the only thing that is absolutely perfect, but they are such wonderful hosts too. They sensed what kind of "food mood" we were in and designed a lunch that fit us perfectly. No need to even look at a menu. It is quiet, beautiful, right near the famous old Ferdinando bridge. We were visiting from Arizona (USA) and we know there are many restaurants to try (I mean it's Italy for heavens sake) but we will be going back for a...
