Read moreI've been there for the Easter week-end together with friends with kids, for a city break close to Milan and the lakes. This "agriturismo" is located in a quiet old country house, finely renovated inside using green building solutions. Rooms give a sense of homey feeling, clean, with traditional furniture and enough space. Maybe some bathroom should be improved. Stables and orchards are just outside, and kids had a great time in touch with nature. Staff and owners have been very warm and friendly, talking with them I could feel their passion for this place and the way they run it. ||Food is simply excellent! They use own production ingredients (meat, vegetables, fruit) and home-made products(cheese, salami, ravioli and jams), and create delicious variations of traditional northern Italy cuisine, with great attention in exalting ingredients taste. Choice is generally limited, but it perfectly makes sense in this context. Service is friendly and efficient, with no problems in managing 100 customers for the Easter Lunch and also extremely kind with kids. ||And last, price is incredibly reasonable for what you get, excellent value really! I felt so good I will come back again for sure! I definitely recommend to all those ones looking for a quiet break...

Obviously a lot of money has been spent on this place - expensive kitchen, lift etc but the bathroom was odd - horrible plastic spa bath shower effort which spoilt the eco friendly style of the hotel and the room was so poorly lit that we could barely see to read - there were also only one pillow each and the bed was very hard. The first night was valentines night and we had a special meal which was four courses with wine for 40 euros which was good value and the food was great but the second night we had the ordinary food and it was plain and unappetising and mass produced and breakfast was such a non-event that we did not bother the second day. The staff were not friendly and we not made to feel welcome - everyone else there was italian and we were definitely made to feel like outsiders which was a pity as we do try to speak Italian and love Italy and we were on our honeymoon. The location was quite good and Bergamo is an attractive town and it was quite cheap but we will not be returning and it was the low point of what was otherwise a...
