I feel these folks are getting a bad rep for no reason! Hubby e I were treated by my dearest English friend for lunch at a place I've been to several times over during the past 10+ years. First off they carry my friend's favorite wine "Domaine de la Rouviere"so? Rose for comparable local wine prices. The antipasto "insalata di mare" was robust, enough for two as was the "crudo & Buffalo" albeit the balls were small. Coperto is 3€/pp a bit pricey considering no bread, taralli, etc. were provided. We did get bread with the antipasto crudo once It was brought out. The spaghetti vongole/cozze was good. Not too abodandanti but the white wine sauce was delicious. Unfortunately the yellow Daterini were non existent, literally half of one in my plate and again, unfortunately , I love tomatoes! The frittura mista was a bit pricey 23 vs 14-16€ elsewhere but it was good, varied and freshly fried! I'd recommend anyone to go and try it out. The Capo Sala, presumably owner was super attentive even if his entire family of 15 or so we're dining with us at the same time. Only suggestion I'd offer is to go back to golden days of "vino della casa" and antipasto misto (a mare o terra). 40€ is way too much for fried frozen goods e a plate of insalata di mare. Non basta una buona pizza a mitigare gli effetti di una snervante ed inconcepibile attesa in un posto che dovrebbe funzionare a mo di catena di montaggio. In un locale del genere il gestore dovrebbe chiedere al cliente di liberare il tavolo quanto prima, mentre invece accade che gli debba chiedere di aspettare per non si sa cosa e perché, inconveniente riscontrato puntualmente nelle precedenti 4 occasioni in cui mi sono recato presso questo locale. Un peccato davvero considerata la bella cornice che i gestori hanno conferito alla struttura ripresa dalle ceneri della vecchia AZZURRA 83. Credo vada rivista la parte gestionale della cucina che se funzionasse come si deve si potrebbero fare anche 500 coperti a serata senza andare in sofferenza e creare malcontento nella clientela che, anche arrivando alle 21.30, alle 23.30 non si troverebbe a dover sollecitare l'arrivo di quanto ordinato ed alla fine non ci si può sentire dire "SE VIENE DURANTE LA SETTIMANA QUESTI PROBLEMI NON CI SONO".
