Hotel Ristorante Mariano — Restaurant in Stigliano

The Hotel Ristorante Mariano exceeded everything that we could expect. The room had one of the most beautiful views. As soon as you walk into your room, the view of layers and layers of mountains welcomes you. The window has a nice wide area where you can sit and enjoy the view. You need to check out the sunrise from your room if you stay here. Birds chirping in the woods in a quiet town of Stigliano is such a beautiful alarm. You really don't hear any noises here at all. No traffic honking, no motorcycles or engines, no loud music. The town itself does not have too many 'touristy' areas but we really enjoyed the quiet peace which was different from other cities we've been to. This also meant no crowds bumping into your shoulders, no cars passing you in a crazy speed, just a peace. The restaurant wait staff was this gentleman who took a good care of us. He waited patiently for us to use the translator app for the menu and made sure we got everything we needed. While we were waiting for our dish, he also served us with an appetizer that we didn't order which was a free delicious pizza. The lamb steak was our favourite dish. Our overall experience at the Hotel Mariano /Ristorante was outstanding! The room was large very clean and equipped with all the necessary toilet items. Beds were very comfortable. The room had a lovely view of the town and mountain. Breakfast was very ample with many choices of fresh food.||The owner, Giuseppe Mariano, was extremely helpful and gracious. He was available to answer any questions regarding the town as well as assisting us in our research of our family. He not only provided us with the local historian,but made an appointment to visit him and drove us to and from a rather difficult part of the town to find as well as approach. ||We had one meal at the ristorante. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully presented and very delicious. In all, it was a wonderful experience and one I will not forget. I would highly recommend this accommodation as a taste of the Italy where simple , warm hospitality still exists out of the mainstream...
