TOURIST TRAP Wow, what a bad restaurant/bar considering the location. WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE IN ITALY by far.
Service was bad, the two ladies that took care of us were ok but ZERO from the male server who refused to serve us wine in glass and tried to force us into buying a bottle of wine by saying that they DO NOT SERVE WINE IN GLASSES, at least not for foreigners aldo all the tables with italians around us had wine in glass, maybe they were hiding the bottle under the table right?
Food is so basic and in such small quantities. It's not fusion, it's not gourmet, it's not delicious.
We took 1 primi piati and 1 secondi piati. Millefoglie di mare : 8 ingredients, more like LEFTOVERS from other guests mixed in between some pieces of thin bread, which was also served on the table. Ravioli alla piastra ripieni di gamberi e capesante con burro chiarificato e bottarga : no taste underseasoned DRY ravioli, what's happening, we are in ITALY, you can't even make pasta right? PUT some sauce in it. Bombettas : 6 small 3 cm long meat balls put on a few chopped pieces of salad. Really, what a joke. Calamaro alla griglia : this was tougher than my Michelin tyres on the car, chewing was almost impossible. No salad, nothing to accompany the calamari, no paid option to add. Just chew it sister!!! beer was good - although they have no credit for it. Aperol Spritz was average, lots of ice.
JUST fire the cook, bring your grandma, I'm sure she'll make delicious sardinian food.
Atmosphère is ok, but not because of them, just the location is nice.
So, 74 Euros for bad food and low service, we left right after the 2nd...
Read morePlease do not miss a visit to Tirovino if you are in Teulada. The food is amazing, particularly the grilled meat, and we didn't regret taking their advise on wine - they are extremely knowledgeable, and they have some amazing choices, including local wines and digestivi. However, what really makes the difference here is the atmosphere they create. They are like a family and they treat you like you are part of it, always with a smile on their face, always extremely nice and available, always up for advice (on anything, really) or a chat if you go and look at their (impressive) collection of bottles. They were so good and we had such a awesome experience, that we broke our rule of never going more than once to the same restaurant during a holiday, and we did. And we will again every time we happen to be in...
Read moreStrongly recommend this place for dinner and drinks. They have an excellent menu of traditional Sardinian dishes as well as Italian dishes from for example Tuscany with their excellent Bistecca Fiorentina. The wines here are outstanding. An Italian list of such great depth and breadth, that whilst concise, it has something of interest and complexity for every mood and taste. The team are great, extremely hospitable and accommodating. Thoroughly...
