I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting ambiance that set the tone for the evening.
The menu is a perfect blend of creativity and classic flavors, offering a diverse selection that caters to every palate. I started with an aperitif which was a delightful introduction to the meal—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, it was nothing short of spectacular. The ingredients were fresh, the seasoning was spot on, and the portion size was just right. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s passion and skill.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. The timing of the courses was perfect, allowing us to savor each dish at our own pace without feeling rushed.
The dessert was the perfect finale to a wonderful meal. It was decadent without being overly sweet, and the presentation was as impressive as the taste.
What really sets Karamare apart, though, is the attention to detail. From the beautifully crafted dishes to the thoughtfully curated drink list, every aspect of the dining experience is carefully considered. It’s clear that this restaurant takes pride in offering not just a meal, but an experience.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a fantastic meal, Karamare is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of what their menu has to offer. Highly...
Read moreWe came without a reservation, but we got a table for 2 without any problems. The atmosphere was very nice outside in the evening with the fairy lights. You hardly notice that you're sitting right beneath the street because there are lots of bushes to protect you. We shared the sausage and cheese platter as an appetizer. It was very generous, even for 2 people. We both ordered the pasta with lobster. Unfortunately, the taste was far too salty and there were 4 large pieces of lobster in one plate and just the shell in the other. It's a shame if you can compare them so directly. The tiramisu was good. The Aperol was mixed with stale Prosecco and unfortunately didn't taste good at all. The service was mostly friendly, but also very snobbish. We've rarely experienced this in Italy, but maybe it was just a bad day. All in all, a mixed evening in a nice atmosphere. I'm not sure whether I would recommend...
Read moreWe’ve been in the restaurant for dinner tonight. For starter I had a veggie pasta which looked o b the taste not that great. My biggest disappointment was my main - tataki di tonno - heavily spiced and very very salty …I left the plate full, the waiter asked me if I have finished and I told him that I did not like it because of the spices and he didn’t even respond. I work in a restaurant in London and I know how you have to react when the customer is not happy with their meal, at least you have to ask if they want something else…I never had a reaction like this from the restaurant staff in my life! There is no english menu but my partner helped me with my choice. There was so many mosquitoes, they go in the plates as well. For me Kalamare is overrated and I left hungry, the prices are ok but not for what...
