Ristorante al pescatore Trabia — Restaurant in Trabia

My friends and I ran into this place quite by accident. We were looking for a place in Trabia where our bed-and-breakfast was located. After trying to navigate through the tiny streets we instead walked to the seaside.

We were a bit hesitant to go down the little road leading to the seaside, but a nice young lady on a bicycle came by and told us that the restaurant appeared to be open.

We were so glad we took her advice, because the place was just charming and has been in the family since 1955. The proprietor spoke English, so it made everything quite easy for us.

One of my favorite things was you could walk right out to the water and the other favorite thing was they had a glass floor in part, so you could sit watching the water right under your table.

So we made a reservation for 3 people, arrived early, staff looked extremely tired but very friendly, our table was right by the water, incredible view and surroundings. We ordered food, it was ok...nothing special sadly. Then the waiter that was being very nice asked me to come to cashier to pay, when he told me the amount of the bill i thought in my head it was a bit high....basically he charged us 20 euros for our plates that were 16 euros on the menu...realized it later when i checked the receipt on the way home....i guess it wouldnt have happened if he would have gave me the bill first so i could check before paying....nice trick but i won't go back there even for the incredible view, i understand the wages are very low in Italy by the hour but i don't like being scammed just because i'm not Italian. UNBELIEVABLE GEM!

Firstly were amazed by the beautiful idyllic scenery of this restaurant, even before the food arrived we were in heaven! But then, the pasta arrived and WOW suddenly we were transported to heaven by the sea.

What an incredible experience this restaurant is. Absolutely DELICIOUS food. The fish was fresh as you can get! The salmon pasta was one I’ll never ever forget.

Could not recommend this place enough. A 36 minute train from palermo to trabia. And so so totally worth it solely for this restaurant!!! If you love sea food and pasta and wine and the sea, then this is your...
