This place is a gem in terms of its wide menu with a variety of excellent traditional Italian dishes at very attractive prices. The locale is quite big with lots of space for sitting inside and outside during nice weather. There were also lots of native Italians during our visit, which is always a good indicator for great traditional cuisine. Besides the vast stanard menu with plenty of typical Italian dishes, they also have chnaging special menus, which are really worth checking out. We were fortunate enough to visit while they had a 1kg Tomahawk Steak (for 40€) on their special menu, which we ordered for three people along with a pizza as an entrée. The meat dish was served perfectly as it came placed on top of a still sizzling hot iron cast pan, which made it possible to cut down pieces and still cook them further to ones own liking. Their grilled fish plate was also very good, let alone the pizzas! There is also a very good choice of beverages with an excellent sparkling white wine (half dry) at really good prices. Last but not least, they also offer a good variety of very tasty and house made desserts, including Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, Chocolate Tartufo, Sorbet etc. The service was also good and friendly, but it can get a bit overwhelmed as the place fills up, making the waiting times longer after the main courses have been served. Nevertheless, it is still an excellent place to eat really good traditional Italian cuisine at surprisingly good prices. Highly recommend!

We were happy they were open when our usual Usignolo was closed, contrary to Google maps info. We had the 22E beef filet cooked to perfection and the 19E persico (african perch) which had too many small bones for my liking. The cooked leaf spinach was exceptionally good, and even my husband, who usually doesn’t eat spinach, liked it. The house white wine is the sparkling kind and a steal at 1.50 per dl. We shared a chocolate pudding which was very tasty as well. The waitress was very busy but equally friendly and attentive. Dogs are welcome here. There is also a nice dining area in the heated winter garden. Next time we will try the pizzas.

We came here on an early Sunday evening without a reservation and were lucky to get one of the last tables, almost all tables were reserved. The food was prepared rapidly and the pizza was really good. As one of the first guests that night we were done with starter + main course + some wine within 45 minutes. When asking for the bill the two waiters just kept rushing from table to table and we felt ignored. We were not able to pay for another 50 minutes until we approached the bar to pay there. The waiter explained that the night is “really busy, really busy” and I regret being able to only rate 2 stars, but waiting for almost an hour to pay ruined our experience there.
