Excellent food but we arrived at 14.45 and were not made to feel welcome. We came for the prix fixe menu and were curtly told that it was sold out. When we shrugged it off and got ready to order off of the à la carte menu, our server told us that we should simply have arrived earlier. Then, as we were all taken aback by the unwarranted attitude, she said that we were welcome to go elsewhere if we weren’t happy.

We stayed anyway and were pleased with the food and wine (although they brought the litre of wine without any glasses) but extremely disappointed by the service.

Bellissima location in stile rustico che affaccia su un laghetto artificiale. L'insegna é sulla strada principale denominata "fondovalle", tra Lucca e Gallicano, ma il locale si trova lontano dal trambusto in questa piccola oasi appartata. Veramente molto suggestivo ma informale. Soprattutto di sera c'è un'atmosfera molto gradevole in estate. Sono stata qui qualche giorno fa per una cena di lavoro e ho avuto modo ahimè di assaggiare solo una margherita in quanto era stato deciso un menù a base di pizza ma sono vegetariana. Posso dire però che mi é piaciuta molto: impasto leggero, chiaramente in stile toscano e ben condita (come ho avuto modo di vedere dalle altre). L'unica pecca la birra alla spina che sapeva di poco.

Recensisco anche da parte di due amiche che sono venute per una cena a base di pesce. Testuali parole: piatti abbondanti, cibo saporito, prezzi abbordabilissimi e location molto bella. Dobbiamo assolutamente tornarci!
