If you only go to one restaurant in Maranello then this is the one you have to go to. Especially if you're here for the cars or racing. The atmosphere is great, very friendly and kind. The prices are normal and not at all as high as the Ambiente would make you think. Amazing Neapolitan style pizza with great toppings, the gnocchi and seafood pasta were also great and interesting. I was a bit disappointed by the tortellini, but only because they were not as exciting and special as the other dishes we ordered. The desserts were also great. They charge you 3€ per person for the table cloth!! The food was decent and it’s a good place in general. When we asked the bill there was 3€x3€ for “Coperto”. We were not served any bread or anything when we sat down. So when I spoke to the waiter he told me that in Italy restaurants charge for the table cloth. That’s what Coperto means! Alle 19:45 ci fermiamo in 4 per una pizza al volo, nonostante non avessimo prenotato ci fanno accomodare con l’intesa che per le 21:00 avremmo dovuto liberare il tavolo. Fino a qui nessun problema, pretese non ne avevamo anche perché si trattava di un sabato sera. Ordiniamo molto velocemente ma ci ritroviamo a dover aspettare 45 minuti per 3 pizze e un calzone, nel mentre servizio pressoché inesistente, nemmeno un grissino o del pane inclusi nel coperto, i camerieri continuano a passare urtando la mia sedia senza mai scusarsi. Un tavolo a fianco a noi arriva dopo e viene servito prima. Quando finalmente arrivano le pizze siamo inizialmente colpito dal bellissimo aspetto, ma una più accurata ispezione ci fa subito notare come la pasta del cornicione e soprattutto quella del calzone sia ancora parzialmente cruda, così come la mozzarella non sciolta bene. Un vero peccato perché ogni ingrediente sembrava essere veramente di qualità, ma quando si lavora con temperature estremante alte bisogna stare attenti se si vuole ottenere una cottura omogenea. Sono sicuro che il pizzaiolo sappia fare il suo lavoro ma penso ci sia stata troppa fretta. Ordiniamo infine un caffè quando poco dopo un altro cameriere ci invita a fare spazio, al che rispondo che vista la lunga attesa avremmo almeno dovuto poter finire il pasto.
