Disappointing Experience at Ristorante Trattoria La Corteccia

We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant and arrived at 6:30 PM, only to be told by the staff that they would open at 7:30 PM and that we should reserve a table. We did as advised and returned at 7:30 PM, but unfortunately, the experience from there was disappointing.

Despite having a reservation, we were seated in the middle of the room—right next to a cupboard used for storing dishes, glasses, and napkins. Throughout our meal, staff members were constantly walking back and forth next to our table to retrieve items, which was very distracting and made the dining experience uncomfortable.

There were only 3–4 other tables occupied, all by local guests, and we couldn’t help but feel that tourists like us were treated differently. The staff came across as unfriendly and inattentive to our needs, giving the impression that foreign guests were not particularly welcome.

Additionally, the restroom was in poor condition—dirty and with a strong smell of hairspray as a female staff member was using it to fix her hair, making it hard to breathe in such a small space.

Sadly, this visit did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling disappointed. We hope the management takes feedback like this seriously to improve the experience for all guests...

Good. The place around is not the countriside, but a street with traffic. But the parking area in front of the restaurant is big enough to let the noise out and far ...Nice and well decorated location, good both for a fast meal during a travel and for a ceremony. Can stay alone or in a group of people. Dishes are good and tasteful. Especially the tagliata. But the main dishes are soup and pasta: generous portion, savoury... all are very good. Waiters are kind, even if they probably smile a little bit more, but it is absolutely ok. Not necessary reservation, for lunch. Price is around 20/25 euro for each person: not too...

L'ingresso al parcheggio della struttura si trova lungo una strada ad alta percorrenza, tuttavia questo non toglie nulla alla location che, essendo piuttosto rientrata, risulta accogliente e non disturbata. È possibile mangiare sia all'interno che all'esterno ed entrambi i luoghi risultano gradevoli all'aspetto per decorazioni e mise en place. La possibilità per il cliente di poter vedere la cucina è certamente un valore aggiunto. Il menù, naturalmente a base di carne, è molto ricco e adatto a sfamare ogni tipo di palato. Oltre al menù alla carta è possibile scegliere anche un menù degustazione. Particolarmente apprezzati sono stati la tagliata all'aceto balsamico e il galletto al mattone. L'antipasto di affettati tipici non aveva assolutamente nulla di eccezionale. Nonostante sia un ristorante a base di carne, anche i dolci meritano di essere assaggiati e apprezzati. Abbiamo effettuato la prenotazione tramite TheFork, ma, nonostante avessimo avuto la mail di conferma, al nostro arrivo ci sono state delle difficoltà ad assegnarci il tavolo, anche se i tavoli non occupati non erano pochi. Il resto del servizio è dipeso principalmente dai diversi camerieri che hanno preso l'ordinazione e ci hanno servito: alcuni molto validi e disponibili a rispondere alle nostre domande, altri molto sbrigativi e poco attenti al cliente in generale. Il rapporto qualità prezzo direi che è molto positivo: un antipasto, due primi, due secondi, un contorno, due dolci, un quarto di vino della casa e dell'acqua per un totale di 66 €.
