Ristorante Abbazia Pomposa — Restaurant in Unione Delta del Po

Found this restaurant while we were lost and on our way from Marco Polo Airport to Tuscany. It's a true gem that showed us the warm hospitality Italy has to offer -- even though we didn't know any Italian and staff were equipped with limited English. The food (hand rolled pasta) was perfectly cooked and the insalata caprese (with mozzarella di bufala) was by far the best around. Would highly recommend. I cannot stress how nice and welcoming the staff were to two lost folks (us) who were very unprepared...

Location da capire in sintonia con il territorio e la storia che si porta dietro, va compreso come va compreso che non siamo alla diretta di Masterchef oppure in centro a Milano oppure Roma. Piatti buoni, anzi buonissimi e strettamente legati alla propria millenaria cultura. Si merita le 5 stelle proprio per quello che sa dare nella sostanza, non nell'apparenza che, ahimè, altrove e certamente non in questo posto sta sostituendo sempre più la qualità nel contenuto dei menù. Un plauso, continuate così. P.S. a volte dato l'enorme mole di lavoro si può dover fare la fila o trovare il personale che risponde educatamente ma magari senza fronzoli dovendo correre a seguire la clientela... A questo punto occorrerebbe guardare il listino prezzi, accorgendosi dell'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Siamo in luogo millenario e ricco di cultura ove è nata la musica... E li merita tutti....
