We went here guided by the very good reviews. Well, we waited for one hour plus for a bland caponata, seafood busiate (ok, a bit smelly, nothing to write home about), and an octopus salad probably freshly captured from a gas station bar . And for the crown jewel: a mixed grill that was half undercooked, half unchewable. The lady told us “this is costoletta” (with a sassy smirk btw). We told her politely that we are quite familiar with costolleta, just not the army boot type. On the brighter side, at least they were thoughtful enough not to include the plastic bag in the “salad” that gracefuly came with the meat. Long story short, I’m not sure if I am more sorry for us or for the animals (and plants) that lost their life in the process. So do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere, there are plenty of amazing restaurants...

From outside, this restaurant is easy to miss as it is just regular building along the cities main street. You can park by the road in direct proximity. The inside is rather spacious with a space for cca 10 tables. The menu offers variety of meet, fish and vegetarian options and the wine cart is also a nice positive surprise. We have started with mozzarella buffalla wrapped in crusty slices of bacon and parmigiana-both delicious. For mains we decided for pasta. The black tagliatelle were amazing, the local type of pasta with basilica and walnuts also and surprisingly delicious was also pasta with grilled eggplants and a tuch of tomatoes and herbs. Good red Nero d'Avola was perfect addition. No sweets at the end as we were super full. Just Espresso did the...

About a week ago, we had lunch here and it was overall our best and most memorable meal in Valderice. The restaurant is centrally located along the main street and offers a very well-curated menu of West Sicilian specialities and general Italian classics. We had a mix of meat and fish dishes, including the fish couscous, which was one of our highlights, and the almond parfait for dessert, which was the other. We were served by two very friendly and forthcoming hosts (not sure if it was the owners but may well have been). Especially the older waiter was charismatic and charming, joking around with the other guests and us, and making us feel welcome. The waitress was also very accommodating and friendly, speaking English well and catering excellently for our...
