Osteria Altomincio — Restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio

I had found this restaurant via google and read all the reviews.

The first impression when we arrived was also good, but unfortunately it went downhill from there.

It started with a very confused waiter who forgot to come but also a wine list.

We read the menu and ordered the food.

My children ordered spaghetti bolognese and my wife and I ordered risotto with truffle.

It is the best Risotto I have ever had and deserves a lot of praise!

But unfortunately the bolognese my children got was rather tasteless.

my wife and i also ordered the tiramisu and it was good but not beyond that self-evident.

So overall this experience is not worth more than two irons, as the waiters unfortunately had a very bad evening and 1 out of 3 dishes was...

Premetto che sono un cuoco,ma lasciando da parte la mia professione, volevo sconsigliare assolutamente questa Osteria,ho prenotato per 2 pers.all'arrivo ancor prima di serderci,ci ritrovo già sul tavolo,un pizzimonio a dir poco e per niente presentabile,asciutto e probabilmente già tolto prima dal frigo,verdura pertanto prepagata e non di sicuro di giornata,altro punto la cameriera e probabile titolare,per nulla al mondo gentile,simpatica e disponibile verso 2 nuovi potenziali clienti,visto che siamo a 10 km dall'Osteria,a parte ciò la grigliata era salatissima,scarsa e per niente mamgiabile.....Per non parlare delle salsicce,il cuoco ce le sostituisce con una tagliata fresca fatta al momento,ma niente scuse o dispiacere,solamente smorfie e contradicendo ciò che contestava,questo la dice lunga.....Arrivata la tagliata,no comment....il sale in quell'esperienza è in abbondanza si vede,da doverne usare per svuotare la cucina....Concludo nel dire che dopo aver letto le recensioni positive come la maggior parte dei locali,sconsiglierei il luogo a parte i piatti poco gradevoli,solamente per la titolare per nulla al mondo disposta per questo tipo di lavoro e gestire i clienti.....1 settimana prima,ci siamo presentati alle 21,15 entrando senza aver prenotato e sarebbe stata la prima volta nel visitare questa Osteria,ma siamo stati mandati via ancor prima di entrare dalla Titolare sempre col sorriso grande sulle labbra....( simpatia e cordialità 0),chiedendoci se non avevamo prenotato nulla,non ci sono posti e la cucina ormai è chiusa....Fatte voi futuri clienti....Parlo da cuoco e gestore di 2 Ristoranti,da oltre 30 anni...Ci siamo chiesti se le recensioni,sono acquistabili.......Sorrido ancora nel lasciare questa vera e leale...

I was here on vacation for 8 days with my family and I think it was the best restaurant around here. We came here almost every day because not only the food, the price, location and everybody who works there are extremely nice and friendly. They gave us a bottle of wine and an amazing risotto as a goodbye gift on our last day. The tiramisu is the best tiramisu I’ve eaten in my entire life. If I ever return to Lake Garda, I would definitly go to Osteria...
