Bandidos Taco Bar Riviera — Restaurant in Vicenza

We looked up places to eat once we arrived, and Banditos came up as a top location. We looked at the hours and noticed they closed at 2230. We got there at 2015, we asked for a table for four, and were told no. I was taken aback for a second. I looked around and noticed many empty tables; I then asked oh, are you full? The guy talking to me said yeah, we are full, sorry. Again, I was looking around and counted at least six empty tables. As my family walked out, the guy walked behind us and locked the door.

Now, I'm posting this because I'm thinking to myself, maybe you needed reservations, but I looked at their Google page, and it says nothing about having to reserve a table. The guy talking to us could have explained why we could not eat there. Maybe they are closing early? Or the kitchen closes at a particular time. But to lie and say they are full when there are empty tables in front of us is horrible...

Stasera volevo mangiare messicano al chiosco allo Spark. Essendo celiaca, ho chiesto informazioni sul menù al cuoco, che mi ha saputo rispondere. Sono poi tornata a chiedere informazioni sul dessert, ma non c’erano certezze. A fronte della mia cortese richiesta e della totale assenza di pretese, mi ha molto ferito la risposta del cuoco: “se vuoi tenta la sorte”. Se era una battuta, era di gran cattivo gusto. Se era una risposta infastidita a una domanda di troppo, vorrei ricordare che la celiachia è una malattia, che non ho scelto io di mangiare senza glutine e che se mi capita per sbaglio di ingerire glutine innanzitutto sto malissimo e poi evito di annoiarvi con tutte le altre conseguenze. Great flavorful food, that had a nice spice to it. We really enjoyed the mole chicken and chipotle chicken. The Jalapeño poppers were so good, I also recommend the Sangria!
