Löwengrube — Restaurant in Vicenza

Löwengrube is a refreshingly welcomed new German food establishment here in Vicenza. The food is amazing with large portions! We ordered the sample meal for two and easily fed four of us. We left very full with happy tummys. They also had several varieties of German beer (some on tap and others bottled). I Suggest making a reservation just to be on the safe side. One time we went and did not make reservations the place was packed and we weren't sure if we were going to get in. They were very friendly and accommodating and were able to get us in with a short wait time. Another time we went, we got in right away. Some of the servers speak a little English and a few of them speak very good English. They also have English menus. Wuuwhoo. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because a couple of the tables have very small stool type chairs that are not very comfortable to sit for a whole meal. Otherwise it would be a full 5 🌟...

Very good food and beer. We made the mistake of not placing a reservation ahead of time (there was a line when they opened at 7 pm on a Saturday night) but we got a seat anyway but felt pressured to finsh early because a reservation was coming behind us. The wait staff definately doesn't follow the Italian model, they are very attentive and seem to be concerned about table turn. They have english menus if you need them. The portions are very big and the desserts are excellent. The black forest cake is missing the cherry schnapps but is still very good, The three pretzel dessert was unique, the doughnut- like pretzels are covered in cinnamon and suger, chocolate, and white chocolate. kenya m (4 recensioni) Locale carino e con molto spazio peccato che si puo usufruire poco,ho deciso di fermarme con la mia famiglia nella pausa pranzo con la intensione di trascorrere un pranzo in santa pace......Imposibileeee perche gia fin dal inizio del nostro arrivo la persona che ci ha fatto la accoglienza che se non sbaglio e il barista se ha presentato poco cordiale e al mio primo aviso disturbato,abbiamo chiesto visto che poratavamo un neonato un posto mediamente comodo e senza alternativa e con risposta in tono sgradevole ci hanno "accomodati" nel tavolo con i gradini,siamo arrivati alle 13.30 circa,la mia cotoletta aveva una panatura di basa qualita si staccaba della carne,i panini nella media per non dire scarso ma il peggio e stato nel fatto che pratticamente abbiamo dovuto lasciare tutto il cibo nel tavolo,il signore del bar gia alle 14.10 più o meno e venuto al tavolo a cosegnare lo scontrino e ha detto che dovevamo finire in fretta perche loro chiudevano la porta alle 14:30 ma il problema non era neanche nostro il vero problema era in cuccina perche da quando hanno portato il antipasto a quando hanno portato i panini hanno trascorso bensi più di 20 minuti ,tempo perso da loro ma neanche un minimo di educazione e tornato lo stesso signore e ha detto" signore 5 minuti e dovete uscire se volete vi possso portare qualche contenitore nel caso volete portarsi via il cibo",ovviamente abbiamo chiesto un po di educazione visto che non eravamo animali sino persone e poi perche io stavo pagando per un servizio non ero li per chiedere favore a nesunno.concludo dicendo che preferisco morire di fame che tornare in questa birreria,gentilmente chiedo al titolare di questo locale di farse una ragione del perche nel suo locale per sbaglio ieri durante il pranzo ero solo io,perche il suo dipendente ha risposto che era costretto a mandarci fuori perche a lui non li pagano ore straordinarie quindi e da giuducare un po la organizazione del posto perche questo non dovrebe essere una risposta a un cliente che li riempi le tasche.non posso dare neanche 1 stella perche non la meritano.non e normale pagare per essere tratato male non esiste.Meglio chiudere se non sono in grado di garantire un buon servizio perche leggendo altro recensione vedo che non sono l'unica a lamentarme...
