Ristorante "Remo Villa Cariolato" — Restaurant in Vicenza

Have to be honest the food was just ok for us. Presentation was fantastic but the few dishes we had did not have enough flavors. Just seemed quite bland and not seasoned enough for us.

Had the octopus which was fantasticly presented but really thin dish had no flavor.

My wife had the monk fish and it was a really strong fish. I had veal ravioli and it was overpowering and hard to eat. A bit gamy.

Also had the veal second course. The veal itself was paper thin and had a layer of what seemed like a tuna spread.

But then, this is just us. Lots of people...

Great service and atmosphere. Love the location and the ambiance.

FOOD: Good pasta. Well cooked and good sauce. Also had the liver and it was ok. The sauce was once again good but it did not go well with the liver for my taste bud. Or maybe liver is not my thing.

LOCATION: Fantastic location. Beautiful area, beautiful building, and plenty of parking.

PRICE: Above average.

SERVICE: excellent service and friendly staff.

OVERALL: I would definitely comeback and try...

Ambiente molto piacevole e ben curato. Servizio attento e professionale. Passiamo alla cosa più importante, il cibo. Con dispiacere dico che non mi ha convinto, personalmente ho mangiato scampi crudi, 5 , che avevano una pezzatura modesta ed un gusto leggero al palato; una frittura che posso descrivere così: 2 gamberi, 2 sardine , 4 tentacoli di calamaro ed il resto anelli di calamaro. Molto deluso da quest' ultima a causa della materia prima eccessivamente banale e dalla rimanenza d'olio nella frittura che è risultata pesantemente unta. I miei commensali hanno invece apprezzato le mezze maniche con l'aragosta ( presumo aragostine ) ed il coniglio. Carta dei vini adeguata alla location, nulla da dire. Prezzo, assolutamente conforme se non addirittura inferiore alle aspettative per quanto concerne la location, sicuramente alto per le capacità di lavorazione delle materie prime da parte degli addetti alla cucina. Consapevole che questa mia recensione non desterà soddisfazione ai ristoratori, mi auguro possa porre una riflessione per i miglioramenti che questa destinazione ristorativa merita decisamente !!!
