Elite food at chain restaurant prices. You will not find a better steak at any price. The meatballs in red gravy (sauce) are the best meatballs I have ever eaten anywhere.

All of the food is made to order, and the attention to quality is amazing. When you come here for the first time, I promise that you will be pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the food is.

Try the local wine, Cavic vino rosso (red wine). 13% ABV listed on the label, but it drinks smooth like a sangria. There is no hint of bitterness in this red wine, and while uncomplex, it pairs well with anything on the menu. After days of eating pasta and other traditional Italian cuisine I was ready for some flesh ! ( Sorry vegans) and here it just happened. La Piccola Taverna è il posto che non ti aspetti. È di fatto una macelleria che oltre ad offrire una vasta scelta nel settore stupisce all'interno per lo spazio di ristorazione ben ottimizzato ed accogliente. Mi sono fermato già 4 volte a cena in viaggio ed ogni volta rimango stupito per la gentilezza del cameriere pronto a suggerire pietanze nel menù e fuori menù con garbo e cognizione di causa. Inoltre la qualità delle preparazioni e della carne alla brace sono una certezza che rimane inalterata e questo mi spinge a tornare e provare nuovi piatti. Difficile consigliare un piatto in particolare, inutile dire che alla brace c'è "un professore" la presentazione e la cottura è perfetta e risponde alla richiesta del cliente. Provate per la singolarità le patate alla brace esplose, io le ho fatte personalizzare con una crema di 'nduja e sono stato accontentato senza problemi. Che dire, non fatevi sfuggire l'occasione di sconvolgere le vostre papille gustative, i sapori sono autentici, genuini e riportano all'infanzia (ho 54 anni) 😉.
