Pizza Point — Restaurant in Vinschgau - Val Venosta

After turning back from a restaurant we wanted to eat at that was closed we walked back towards the hotel with two hungry kids in tow and decided to drop in for a pizza for a late lunch.

We ordered two pizza margherita's and didn't really have any expectations from the nicely decorated place. We just dropped in by chance. It's a takeaway, but also has tables that you can sit at.

To my surprise, these were probably the best I have ever had (I'm not young...I had a lot:). Our biggest problem was that we wanted to order more but dinner was already ordered and by now just a couple of hours away. It was a really tough decision but we had to resist.

When we paid to leave we noticed that there were a number of certificates hanging on the wall stating that he'd won various pizza competitions. So we decided it really wasn't just hunger clouding our judgment.

We will be back! And I might actually end up having fresh pizza for breakfast for the first...

Diciamo che sono un locale che per il 90% fanno pizza da asporto, ma si sono attrezzati anche per farla mangiare lì, il posto è molto semplice ed essenziale ovviamente, ma infatti non è per quello che si va lì, è la pizza che che fa da ago della bilancia e devo dire che è buonissima, piena di ingredienti, e gigantesca, ho dovuto mettermi l'ultimo quarto nel cartone e portarmela a casa perché non c'è la facevo più e che io non finisca una pizza è cosa veramente rara (3 volte in 10anni). Diciamo che la varietà non è enorme, anzi un pò limitata a dir mio, ma comunque soddisfacente, inoltre lele pizze proposte non convincono si può creare la propria pizza con gli ingredienti a disposizione e mischiarli a piacimento. Personale molto gentile, i titolari che sono sempre lì sono divertenti e cercano di consigliare. I prezzi sono un peletto più cari del solito ma sono giustificati dalla grandezza della pizza e della quantità di ingredienti che mettono. Certamente se ripassiamo da Prato sarà una...

Wow, what a hidden gem!!! Very humble view, but the taste is mind-blowing! While the weather in early May was great, I took it outdoors to enjoy every single glance of the Sun. I can't recommend more to have a very small detour from Via Claudia Augusta to enjoy this...
