Driving to Voterra we decided to stop for lunch. Like a previous review mentions, we were not exactly drawn in by the appearance of the place, but we had discovered other delightful finds off the beaten path so we were willing to give it a chance. Wise decision. The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced, the house wine a true value, and the service was like being in the home of friends. When I mentioned that I didn't know what "rackets" salad was, the server excused herself for a moment and came back with a small bowl of greens for me to sample before ordering (arugula, by the way). I had pasta with a delicious meat sauce and my wife tried the lasagna after determining it did not contain any wild boar or horse meat, both of which are on the menu. Highly...

This little place doesn't look much, but once your in you want to stay. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed one night here on our way back from Liguria to Sweden. First thing that happened when we sat down for lunch was that our dogs were offered water. Marvelous food, for a good price. When having dinner, we were very impressed by the capacity. Suddenly two big companies arrived, one with 10 people and one with 8 people. No problem to get them seated, and as far as we could see they were all served without delay and seamed as pleased as we.||The only thing we missed was air condition in the room. But you can't expect everything in a small countryside B&B like this. Though - breakfast could have been a bit more varied than sweet cakes. However, the coffee...

Superb!!! Family owned place, the owner takes pride in his food and rightly so, it's excellent! Every course we tried, one better than the other. The antipasti is definitely worth trying. The pasta plates, all fantastic, if you've never tried pasta di boscaiola, it's worth trying. The pasta with caccio y pepe is also mouth watering. The pasta "sweeties" filled with cheese were also delicious. And the meat, well seasoned, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try their desserts as we were in a rush but I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. Also very reasonable prices. Places like this are worth every bit of praise.

Stopped by due to bad weather( storm) and we are really glad that we did. Authentic restaurant, nothing luxurious but with the soul of happiness of serving good food. We experienced the wrath of Italian weather with lots of rain and wind and black outs of electricity but even thought this was a challenge, they made our afternoon joyful For those comments who mentioned slow service etc. it is mentioned in the menu card that there is only 2 people who serves and don’t except ‘McDonald’ speed, the cook takes his time and it is all worth of waiting

Amazing food and local atmosphere. I think it’s interesting to see people review the staff and service as unfriendly and not good when I think visitors need to understand things are different in Italy and waiters will not rush to take your order or bring your food especially if you are unkind. We had a huge appetizer, two pastas, a bottle of wine, and three amazing desserts all under $70! Wonderful experience.
