Gelateria Santa Rosa — Restaurant in Zanè

I have to start by saying for years I have visited this gelateria and fell in love with their flavors and lovely service. The venue is beautiful and located in a very nice part of town. It wasn't until the past few visits this year that made me think otherwise. For the first time I was snubbed and refused service until the women serving me was asked to serve me and my mother by another colleague. Usually I would visit this gelateria in the evening with my Italian husband and attempt to speak in italian. There is a different crew who servs in the evening the last two times I went with my mother was during midday. Immediately when I entered the establishment we had to stand for a while as they made repeated eye contact with us and spoke to each other then one finally decided to service us and not to sound silly but usually they give very generous scoops and this time she gave me two very small scoops and seemed very irritated with doing so. When my mother ordered (she does not speak much Italian ) she ordered in English and the women's tone completely changed ... her scoops improved in comparison to mine. I say this to say that never had I experienced this type of treatment at this gelateria where I was judged and treated rudely based on my complexion that apparently determined my economic status and intentions . Buonasera, anche se sono le 13. Io e la mia collega critica di gelati gourmet ci siamo prestati all'assaggio delle Vostre coppe. In seguito riportiamo i nostri giudizi.

La coppa limone e spremuta d'arancia è stata ottima dal punto di vista visivo e di quello dell'assaggio. Il servizio è stato molto professionale, un profondo ringraziamento alla Cameriera che si è dimostrata cordiale e preparata.

Ora la recensione della collega: Ho preso la coppa fragola con il gelato al kefir, in tutta onestà devo ammettere che era deliziosa in tutti i suoi aspetti; dalle fragole alla panna ed anche il gelato. Il tutto è stato reso ancora più piacevole dall'eccellente servizio della Cameriera con la C grande (nella speranza che questa recensione arrivi a chi di dovere, suggerisco un aumento per la ragazza)

Sono stato in questa gelateria e ho ordinato una pallina di gelato con un brownie, chiaramente segnato a 3€ sul listino. Tuttavia, al momento di pagare, mi sono ritrovato uno scontrino di 6,50€. Alla mia richiesta di spiegazioni, mi è stato detto che il prezzo includeva “servizio, coperto e altro”.

Ora, capisco i costi aggiuntivi per un ristorante, ma per un semplice gelato? Non solo questa politica di prezzi non era chiara, ma l’importo è del tutto sproporzionato rispetto a ciò che ho ricevuto. Inoltre, il servizio non è stato nulla di eccezionale da giustificare un simile ricarico.

Trovo questo modo di operare scorretto e fuorviante, perché un cliente dovrebbe sapere in anticipo quanto pagherà, senza sorprese alla cassa. Pessima esperienza, non tornerò e non la...
