Liked the atmosphere of this restaurant, had been there 4 times before and liked it but tonight was different. My staff had just dropped over $70,000.00 but one of my team members complained about the quality of one of the meals and the owner was rather dismissive. It was very telling that she did not value my staff's feedback and that was off-putting - she was extremely defensive and when I tried to speak with her, proceeded to tell me how many years she had done service - unaware that I too have had my share of industry experience and have never seen such distasteful behaviour from an owner. No empathy, no genuine concern - just condescending behaviour overall. Having service industry background, I've learnt that your customers may not always be right but invalidation of their concerns is a horrible way of handling clients who took the time and waited for hours to get your food. I will never recommend this place again!

Ps. After reading this response, it confirms what I said - being defensive and argumentative more than genuinely concerned and accommodating... There is also no need to falsely accuse anyone of pointing in your face - gesticulating of course as we had a VALID concern about the poor quality of ONE meal out of several dishes and being handled as if we are being dishonest is VERY triggering - however - thinking more about the situation now, I would not expect the owners to understand as our experiences are different from theres. Thanks for comping the meal but walking away and elevating your voice at patrons is definitely not it! Ciao Bella is my favorite "foreign" restaurant in ochi .. I watched them from the ground up till now. I believe I was the first one to post a YouTube video about it. Although the menu has changed.. the food is still fantastic. I found the owner a lil defensive when I did return my undercooked pasta one day but it's ok.. I probably would have been too and she still fixed the problem and we enjoyed our dinner there again. Although it is pricey .. it's worth it. Due to alot of products being imported and today's price of food I get it.. and as I said.. it's yummy.. so it's worth it. Maybe not something u could afford everyday.. (even tho I'd probably eat it everyday ) but it's a nice treat when wanting something other than Jamaican food. After being in Jamaica so long or so many times, sometimes u miss the pasta and "foreign" foods we also enjoy. My absolute favorite is their parm chicken wings..and the ciao bella salad... again.. $2550 for a salad is a bit bunch but once I can afford it.. I'll buy it cause it's gooooooood. I love it. The customer service is awesome and just an all around nice experience. I would highly recommend them.. jus expect it to be pricey. Which what Italian restaurant is cheap anyways. They're worth it. Dining at Ciao Bella was a 10/10 experience!!! A lovely time was had there. The food was chefs kiss amazing! Every aspect of my meal was a delight to my taste buds. Complimentary bread was served first which paired excellently with the olive oil that was already on my table. I had nona's mini meatballs as my appetizer, tagliata di pollo for my main course with a glass of mango moscato and tiramisu for dessert. My meal was as satisying as it was heartwarming. The customer service was great too as all the servers were very attentive in ensuring I had all I needed and to let them know if I needed anything. Exceptional job done by the servers - especially Kay! Her warm presence and smile greeted me as I came up the stairs and she helped me find an ideal spot where I could fully enjoy the street views while staying cool under a fan, admire the beautiful selection of art pieces and be able to watch the live performance being done by the musicians doing renditions of wonderful song selections from classic jazz, blues, reggae, R&B, etc. The ambiance was very relaxed with nice warm lighting to really set the mood, the space can accomodate different sized groups, the decor and art really make for a unique dining experience.
