Corner Bar — Restaurant in undefined

The food was pretty good. The service and wait time suck!!!

My hubs wanted fish, but the lady said it would take 30 mins. We weren't interested in waiting that long so we opted for jerk chicken and fried chicken with fries, steamed veggies, and festivals.

We waited 45 mins in a hot room for our food. They said it took so long because we ordered steamed veggies. Several folks ordered after us and got their food before us.... but they waited a long time too.

By the time the food was ready, I was hot and angry, which made it hard to enjoy the food.

If you go.... go when it's not too hot outside so you can wait comfortably.

Everyone in there was upset with the length of time. They kept saying it's good food, but...

The food is wholesome, fresh and delicious. The menu is limited but what they do have is fantastic. They start serving breakfast at 9am but get there quick (before 930am) coz it finishes so fast. The ackee and salt fish is amazing and it keeps you full until dinner. For lunch / dinner they have chicken and if you want the curry goat, don't look for it before 1pm (oh, and that's another one that finishes fast). There is a bar adjacent so if you want a drink, it's not far to go. You order your food at the window outside then you take your ticket in and wait for your number to be called. In the beginning, the food was excellent, but then after a while the quality dropped. I don't know if there is a new chef, but the fries are terrible, always soggy and they claim it is done to order. The chicken does not taste as good anymore. I use to taste the fresh seasoning (the scotch bonnet pepper etc), perhaps they changed the way they season. I use to enjoy their fried chicken so much. I love conch and bought it here multiple times. It doesn't taste fresh and the gravy in it reminds me of soup. It tastes like reheated seafood soup. The food here is affordable so I see why many people flock to Corner Bar. There aren't many GOOD/AFFORDABLE restaurants in a tourist town like Negril I have...
