Vinnes Grill N Bar — Restaurant in undefined

So a strange situation occured during my visit to Vinnes. When I finished my food, I was going to take a taxi and the owner, Vinie, offered to take me, ok I said, he s making extra money. So when I arrived my hotel I realized I left my phone on his car, or maybe in the restaurant, so I went back. His wife texted him and told me he found it. When he comes, he pass through me, goes to the back of the restaurant and stays there 10 minutes. Then he apears and I asked him about the phone, he says “yes I have it here” and points his pocket, instead of giving it immediately. I had to ask again if he could give it to me, finally he gives it and I give him 20 bucks as a courtesy, he put a weird face and ask me if I needed transportation again. Honestly I felt bad because I didn’t like that attitude, It s very normal to people to leave things behind in a cab...

Food was good, and the drinks were delicious. We had the curry goat and brown stew chicken. Both of our dishes had very small bone shards throughout, made it a bit of a pain to eat but the flavours were good.

We had comically rude service. Right after we sat, the server came up with raised eyebrows and gestured at her pad. We hadn't had a chance to decide yet and asked for a minute, for which we received an eyeroll. She said almost nothing the whole time and rolled her eyes any time we spoke.

To be fair, the other servers seemed much friendlier.

We laughed about it, because she was so ridiculously unfriendly and rude, but we felt very awkward and uncomfortable. You can find better Jamaican food and service nearby, I'd recommend Coletta's, Best in the West, or...

Just came to watch the live music - mainly blues with some additional varied music for the last set. Food looked good but we didn't eat. It's a popular venue and was crowded when we went. It's a shame that the bar is right in front of the stage so you don't really get a proper view of the musicians. Cost for red stripe beer was $500 JA so about £2.50. It's nice that the venue is next to the sea so you can watch the sunset while listening to the music. They came round several times with a collection for the musicians. Hopefully they will move the bar to the back of the venue...
