A Vegan's Utopia, certainly lives up to it's name. It was a jewel of a find for my sister and I when we were in Montego Bay. We liked it so much the first time that we went back 4 more times!! Every single thing we tried was absolutely delicious!! The first day we had some of the oreo cheesecake and it was to die for, so much so that we kept on pestering the staff each day to see if it was on the menu (thank you for saving us 2 slices on the last day we were there <3). We kept on going for the meal of the day because we wanted to try more authentic dishes, and the food did not disappoint-it was all super flavourful and healthy too! The meal of the day is typically served with quinoa, bulger wheat, or stewed starchy veggies, and 2 side dishes, as well as a bit of a salad on top. My personal favourites were the rasta pasta made with ackee and greens, the sweet & sour chickpea tofu, the pizza with cashew cheese, veggies, pineapple and plantain (surprisingly delicious), and the stewed red peas with dumplings. Other tasty things we tried were the banana bread, the chop suey which was gingery and yummy, the chickpea and the broad bean curry, and the veggie patty too! We also had the pineapple ginger juice and a green juice which were super refreshing! Everybody we encountered was super friendly and the ambiance is cute and cozy. They also have free wifi and a little bookcase so you can just relax and enjoy yourself for a good while there too! Certainly one of my top favourite restaurants!

If you’re vegan—or simply into natural, wholesome food—this spot in MoBay is a must-visit! A quick note: Google Maps may lead you through the taxi stop area, which almost had us going down a one-way, so don’t get discouraged if it takes a few extra minutes to find. Trust me, it’s worth it. What makes this place special is that everything is natural—nothing synthetic at all. Even the ‘tofu’ is made from chickpeas! There was a great range of savoury dishes and desserts. I tried the carrot cake which wasn’t sweet to me at all, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing—just something to keep in mind depending on how much sugar you like. Now, the mac and cheese… I understand why it’s the signature dish. Honestly, it’s the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had—even compared to when I wasn’t vegan. My only regret is not ordering more! The space itself seats about six people, with a fan to keep you comfortable, and the owner is absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and very professional. Payment by card or cash is available, which is convenient. Highly recommend—thank you for such a wonderful experience! Also free WiFi!

Where do I start! Mostly everything we tried we enjoyed except the yatty, falafel pita, & the calzone. This is one of our favorite restaurants when we visit MoBay! We have yet to try the nice cream. Our favorites are the cashew cheese sauce, the jersey burger, the pizza, quinoa stir-fry, and the fries. We were grateful that we could whatsapp our orders since we mainly ordered from the Done to order menu. The jerk burger has a kick, but the fries balance it out. We visit the establishment frequently when in town. Andre and the young lady are super friendly and patient each time we visit. We brought our friends and family along, and they have the restaurant 5 stars as well. You are welcome to dine in or take out. The ambiance is cozy and intimate. *We ordered so much, I cannot remember everything. * Thanks Andre and team and were looking forward to visiting again.

When we collected our meals we didn’t wait to get to Ochi, we stopped and dug in….but not without noticing the affirmations on the packaging of each of our meals. And then the “the first ingredient is love” on the food containers. A big YES for both of us.

We both tasted the sweet potato elbows pasta with the cashew cheese Alfredo sauce first. Can I tell you - our reactions were the same and on queue. We were amazed at how delicious it was. Then for the Mac and cheese balls. Nice and crispy on the outside with that chickpea flour coating. Cashew cheese infused elbows on the inside. And the sauce gave them the perfect uptick in flavor. A little spicy a little sweet. Yum! Raw salad fittingly added the neutralizing effect. Very fresh and crunchy. To top it off, the beet and carrot all natural juice. So thirst quenching and satisfying. All in all a very filling and satisfying meal. Such a refreshing experience it was too: from Andre’s excellent service and welcoming nature to being able to have vegan meals that are so yummy and affordably priced. We both agreed that we will definitely be...
