Karen' chūbō (Chinese lotus kitchen) — Restaurant in Abiko

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Japan. I love it. I love everything here. The people are cool, the food is amazing, it almost taste like Western American Asian food. It is just great. You will love it. Also there are places to sit, room enough for kids to run around, there is a kids menu. It’s just a happy place to take your family, friends, have a drink with your friends. But the food is amazing. And the price is cheap. Good cheap, happy....

2024-06 我孫子市布佐の国道356号沿いにある中華料理店です。 日曜日のランチではじめて利用しました。 駅からは離れていますが駐車場は広く、店舗前と横に十数台分あり、クルマでのアクセスは便利です。

11時半ころ着きましたが広い駐車場には一番遠い場所に数台のクルマが停まっているだけ。おそらく従業員のものと思われます。 「もしかしてやってない？」と妻と顔を見合わせましたがお店は普通に営業中でした。 店内はテーブル席が大小２０卓、、、いやそれ以上でしょうか。他に小上がり席や個室席までありかなりの広さ。 その広い店内に先客は１組２名だけ。 大丈夫なんだろうか、、、このお店。

ともかく「お好きなお席へどうぞ」と言われてテーブル席に座りメニューを見ます。 ランチは日替わり３種類の他、麺セットが１０数種類。他に単品のチャーハン類や麺類、点心や各種料理、つまみ類が合わせて100種類ほど。壁にもおすすめメニューが貼ってあり、いかにもな大陸系中華料理店のラインナップです。

Absolutely delicious, near-ridiculous portions sizes (it’s a lot!), and very reasonable prices for a wide variety of different set meals (teishoku). The atmosphere is very unremarkable, but there’s plenty of seating and the food more than makes up for the lack of ambiance.I can’t wait...
