Alp — Restaurant in Aki

I went to this cafe with a friend by their suggestion, and I was not disappointed! The cafe itself has lovely decor, plants, and plenty of windows to let in the sunshine on a fair day. They have a little sound system set up for background music too. All the wooden furniture feels super sturdy and large, but that means it takes up a fair bit of floor space. My friend and I went when it wasn't very busy yet, but I could see this place getting crowded very quickly. We ordered breakfast sets which came with 3 different types of bread, homemade yogurt, a small salad, and a mug of soup. It was all incredibly delicious and just the right amount for me. I saw parfaits on the menu, but I held back at the time. Then, we returned on a Sunday because this place has Cake Take-out day then! On this day, you cannot eat in the cafe, but you can check out the daily sweets in the display and choose some slices to take home. I got a little slice of baked cheesecake and a white strawberry tart slice. They were quickly inhaled once I got back home. I heard this place has an online account where they post updates, but I think it would just be best to stop by in-person and see...

Went here on a rec from the folks at the tourism center. Got a nice parfait and decent coffee. Had a nice chat with the owner--saw some of the reviews mentioned bad service and hostility towards outsiders, but it seemed to make no difference to the owner that we were international. We made the effort to start a conversation and they were super friendly in return. Nice...

取り置きの時間もよくわからず、インスタ投稿後より開店時間になっても全く電話が繋がらず、14時前に「14時より取り置き可能」と投稿が。それなら、最初の投稿で何時から取り置き可能か言っておくべき。

以前の投稿では「12時から取り置き可能」とあったので、それは統一かと捉えたものの日によるらしい。分かりにくいシステム。

そして。電話で希望商品を伝えると「それは売り切れ」と一言。「何が残ってますか？」と聞くと「それ以外」と。インスタ見ながら電話できないのでメニューを覚えてるわけもなく、見ることも出来ず、何が残ってるか教えていただけず、それまで何度も電話チャレンジしたこともあり 心が折れました。
